where do you go to university/TAFE, and what do you do?

im at vic uni tafe.. and im currently doing a certificate 4 in music industry business.. stepping up to a diploma next year..

In short, its artist and music event management.. its awesome .. i get to talk about music & the industry all day :D

Started doing a double degree Bach Bus (accounting) Bach Comp (info sys)... got bored and ended up leaving with a bach comp (acc/info sys)

Then started doing a Masters in Business Systems and got bored and left with a grad dip in business systems.

Work in IT now doing security stuff

Well, i only really have to go into uni one more time, hand in my veyr last piece of assessment

I'm in my last year, last semester of uni..

I go to QUT (University for the Real World....hah)

I do a double degree in Journalism and Business (PR and Marketing)

I finish my journalism component this semester (I hope!!!)

Then one more year...

I want to kick some marketing azz when I finish...I don't really dig journalism...copying others stories off the wires just doesn't really do it for me...:\ Oh yeah and neither does moving to the country. I'd like to enter it later on as an expert in my field and do feature writing. News writing sucks balls.
 
I'm studying aerospace and mechanical engineering at Monash Uni.
I just love learning about how things work, the maths, the problem solving, all of it!!!
The only downside is the fact that in one of my classes with 150 students, I am one of only six girls. This can get a lil intimidating at times, but I guess I'll have to get used to it, considering the industry is male-dominated.
 
okay next year i will hopefully be at one of the following (in order): deakin, burwood; rmit, melbourne; uni of melb; unsw; uts.
 
^^ Deakin's right across the road from me! Bad thing about burwood is that it's in the middle of a dry area. No pubs around for miles!!!
 
i study off campus bachelor of arts majoring in anthropology..... it rules.... hardly any work and i dont have to actually go to uni and pretend to like a bunch of people that i despise
 
i'm your fairly typical on-campus arts student. i don't go to any class before 10am i avoid wearing shoes if i can (have gone to class in pj pants too) i've always got cask wine in the fridge, but rarely have anything sustaining. i don't study but i do well. i'm out 4 nights a week. i love my course, and i love my life. GOD BLESS THE ARTS!

although this said, once finished i am planning on doing my masters in art therapy. so i'm not a complete bum.
 
if everything goes according to plan, i'll be back on the central coast (of nsw) studying arts.

i actually plan on doing some work this time round, but we'll see how that actually pans out once i get there. ;)
 
Currently: University of Queensland - about to finish Bachelor of Information Technology (Honours). Its about time too, I'm the only 4th year IT person I know here who'd even go to a rave - everyone's so straight & nerdy :)

I wouldn't be surprised if everyone else doin IT honours here didn't even drink! I should have done an Arts course....
 
^^ I know a few people who work in IT who go to raves and indulge in things ....

But yeah, they are pretty straight over all. Not when it comes to porn though surprisingly ... ;)

and like dh@whyd, i am the only person (studying IT) i know who is seriously into raves and getting spaced out.

i however know a few IT freaks (2 people) who will get drunk on a weekly basis and hunt for skanks.
 
I'm getting a professional degree in wank*, so I can put on a business suit and wank around with all the other wankers = B.Comms/PR (Public Relations).... [Be underwhelmed here] @ University of Canberra....Just a lowly first year at the moment, so we'll see how it goes...

* however I will be using my new found wank powers for the forces of good not evil
 
I'm at Murdoch University, finishing my 3rd year of Psychology.

Upon hearing that people always joke about me giving them a psychoanalysis, but I don't really feel I've learnt anything at all... :p
 
I'm at Murdoch studying Conservation Biology... I have 3 weeks and 2 days left until I finish my degree...

...scary...
 
^^ yes very, me too. i feel as though i just started in many ways. time flys way to fast [...and geez i feel old just making a statement like that...]
 
oooh aaaah i felt like bumping this to see where everyone is at now...being a few weeks into semester and all. I personally got the offer to move to Qld to pursue my interest in Behavioural Science but decided to stay in Sydney and finish up my BA first then go back to do post grad later, including Martin Seligmans positive psych course through the University of Pennsylvania. ahhh pipe dreams :)
