I don't think the OP is coming back to this forum, having gotten his question answered and so forth. But if he does, I hope he reads all the remaining answers and, of course, also mine.
I have almost the same background as him, and then not really. I too began using narcotics in a young age. I began smoking weed when I was 13 and began smoking heroin daily when I was 15. I too was and am very fascinated with drugs, and I too had that "I've made my decision, and I want drugs in my life" mentality, but the fact is, it's not the hydromorphone you want, it's what the hydromorphine does for you, in other words the rush it gives. And quite understandably. But if you keep using it, the rush will disappear as already stated in this thread, and it will no longer function as a pleasant narcotic, but as a means to relieving withdrawal. You may not be addicted physically yet (or you may be), but I think the hydromorphine is already being used by you to relieve something; maybe not withdrawal but then pain/dispair.
And if you still insist on using it recreationally and want a life of drugs, consider the fact that you can't do drugs if you are dead. And I guarantee you, you'll be dead before your 25th birthday if you keep this up, especially the route of administration you are using.
