Is there any place you can get them locally like at a pharmacy or do you have to buy online? I would like to get some ASAP.
I have PM'd TheDankaholic, he hasn't been online for a while. I hope he's OK.
I checked out one site that someone else got some microns from, but they are OUT of the 0.2 Watsons. !!!
So I checked gpzservices, but am having issues placing an order with them. !!!x2
I'm going to try to place an order with GPZ and I'll see how that works out.
Is there any DIY micron filter or something close to it? I'm sure there must be some material that is close. I was looking in my dremel kit and saw these felt tips, seems like they would be better than cotton at least.
Ok not much helpful info there.
Side note, can you legally purchase insulin syringes in New Yor nat a pharmacy without an Rx?
No, there really isn't. It's kind of like asking if there's a do-it-yourself heart valve replacement or something like that. Micron filters are a piece of medical equipment that have to be made with strict quality control and advanced manufacturing techniques.
I'd suggest checking out CH's link above, and/or googling .22 or .2 micron filter, before injecting.
sure is legal. But I go to a needle exchange anyways. cant beat free stuff
cant beat free stuff
I disagree.
The needles I get for free, aren't always of quality. The ones I buy are always quality, or I return them and get more from the manufacturer.
The exchange needles can be bent, sometimes the workers take the caps off to show ppl the needle...gotta check those opened bags to see if the caps are still on secure.
Yeah and like I said before, it is more expensive to take the subway for $5.50 to one of them then it is to get a $3 10 pack a few blocks away.
How many needles do they even give you at exchanges, and don't they make you drop off old ones or is that only encouraged?
It differs at different exchanges.
At mine, you can get up to 300 syringes, but you "have" to trade in old ones. We have gotten several hundred syringes w/o turning in old ones before but they want to see you turn in old ones.
They do *not* sit there and count them though. You could easily dump in 100-200 of them and be like "here's 300 syringes" then you'd get more than you gave them. It kind of is that easy.
Other exchanges don't have limits so you can get more than 300. However, 300 is a good amount, 2 people can go up and get 600 syringes, and that will last you quite some time.
I'm concerned that you are considering shooting subs (per your other thread) and don't even know where to get micron filters.
That sounds like a recipe for disaster.
Just don't give up and shoot without then, please.
