Whenever We're High

spend my days in a daze.
leave the rest to the rest.
our kind confined to broken minds,
arise in time and awoken we'll shine.
even in the evenin'
I've been up since sun up,
and I'll be up 'til then.
so screw it, let's do it
play the same game again.
and whether it's clever,
we're in this endeavor,
which ends within never
and ends up wherever.
when we're one,
while we're well
then we won't wonder why.
as for unrested times,
well we've invested mine
in whatever together,
