Been one week and a day, it's driving me fucking insane. I haven't slept for more then an hour at a time and more then 3 hours a night since, so tempting to just jump back on the bangwagon. But other then that I feel relatively fine.

Still got some benzos left but they don't seem to do anything. I've read somewhere about gabapentin being good for restless legs is there any truth to this ?

Getting 3g of ketamine, seems to be the best thing to stop restless legs that I can get atm so has to be done.

Any other home remedies would be much appreciated. Sorry for double post mods :(.

kratom will cure sickness almost completely, kratom has a 4 day kick but thats not shit compared to opiates. depending on how long u were using it could last 4 weeks, and gets better every week to the day. man up and get her done, i did a 4 week kick after 2 years of heavy opiate abuse (pods, tar)

Magnesium in high doses will be readily available, and it works like a charm for me.
Give it a try!

smoke cannabis!!! always works like a charm, but you have to smoke like once an hour.....pot will also help so many other symptoms......

^cannabis can exacerbate RLS in some people - i'm not one of them thankfully.

whether i'm dope sick or not i have to deal with RLS on an almost daily basis like many other people.

i find benzos effective, though addictive, and should be used sparingly. other gaba drugs such as lyrica and neurontin as mentioned have their place as well.

what i find best though is getting up, going for a light walk or jog, a good stretch routine. try not to lay there in bed fighting it as it only worsens.

there are plenty of threads on this subject if you search as well, i'm in a rush and will come back to this later with a thread full of great advice.

whatever you do, don't fall back on the wagon after all this time! you've come so far, why throw it away?

i know its probably something you dont have access too but I have found Mirapex to completely take away RLS symptoms resulting from ANY problem, be it opiate WD, benzo WD, general pain, or even just random restless leg syndrome that came out of nowhere.

of course that is one of the main reasons Mirapex is prescribed so obviously it would work good, but the problem is getting ahold of it. Its also used for parkinsons i believe.

I was lucky enough to have a friend who was given a whole bottle of 0.5mg mirapex pills for no reason and he gave them to me. I looked it up online and 0.5 mg's is a very high dose apparently. This was proven even more when I took just half a pill and it knocked me out pretty hard. And if I take a whole pill, it fucks me up bigtime, as in, I sleep deep and solid for a very long time. But normally if I am having problems with restless legs, I take a quarter pill(0.125mg's) and it works perfect at relieving the RLS and helps me fall asleep easier. In fact I had been using the Mirapex sometimes during the past month while I have been in excruciating pain, and it helped me sit more still when I tried to sit and get some relaxation.

But for the most part I dont touch the pills cuz I dont usually have any good reason too. I wish I could help u out with some pills now, cuz I know it would take care of your problem for sure.
Good Luck

It takes a lot of time man, every day I want to just jump back on the fucking bandwagon. Dank seemed to help me out a lot, but other than that it seemed like I couldn't do too much but ride it out.

I find that weed makes any WD symptom worse. I know some people are different and weed helps them with WD problems but I am definitely not like that, and I know alot of people who are like me.
It seems to make the symptoms(such as RLS) much more "apparent" to your mind or something.....its hard to describe. Basically it magnifies the symptom(s) that your trying to get rid of.
But thats just me. I think it also depends on the strain. Indica can actually help a little bit sometimes especially if my main problem is getting good sleep, but Sativa's tend to exacerbate the problem almost every time...probably because it gives a more energy-giving, uplifting, mind-high.

here's the post i was referring to that i wrote in another thread i like to revert to for RLS, though it may be a little outdated and australian centric it still applied universally.

there's a few different medical(prescription) and alternative treatments available for this.

Medical Treatments

one of the original treatments involve a dopamine precursor such as carbidopa/levodopa. there is a big problem with augmentation with these treatments though. what augmentation is you have that good nights sleep but the symptons will have worsened the next day. these treatments tend to only be effective for a short period of time ranging from 2-3 hours. not the best of options, but an option.

you also have the option of dopamine agonists such as Ropinirole, pramipexole, pergolide and cabergoline though these are not yet available in australia according to the site i grabbed this from. these are newer drugs and are less like to cause augmentation.

next you have the benzo family, particularly clonazepam. the problem? you don't really want to be trading one addiction for another. if you choose benzo's make it a short course.

anticonvulsant drugs like gapapentin and carbamazepine are also available for prescription. not much is known about how these work in RLS, but they may be helpful to people in whom dopaminergic drugs or opiates have not been effective or are contraindicated.

Alternate treatments can range from anything like yoga exercises, acupuncture, massage therapy, herbal medicines (vitamins and minerals). these treatments arent necessarily for everybody and aren't always going to be effective though but are well worth a try. who doesn't like a good massage?

i have a good page bookmarked that i have used in the past. it's an australian site but methods incorporated can be used universally.

the site is here

It definitely helps me for some reason, but if I did however smoke a blunt of reggie to the face I feel it would only be worse. I rarely touch reggie as it gives me a pretty bad headache without withdrawal..I can only imagine the two together..8o

thanks for all suggestions guys, legs are still going mad crazy.

But got some DHC and hopefully some more ket if I can borrow some money till weekend.

Will using DHC put back the procress of WD's or not, that is my main concern.

I'm in the same boat as you brotha -hugs- i drink alcohol to help though i'd rather prefer some benzos since i hate alcohol....but i ate all of those over the weekend when i was supposed to be quitting.....day 4 though (: you're lucky you have ketamine, that would help wonderfully.

Yea, honestly, I think a strong psychedelic like a couple drops of acid, or an 1/8 of shrooms, or a pretty good amount pf peyote would help your entire problem. Not just the RLS...but your entire outlook on life which has probably gotten more depressing since you quit.

....as long as you are experienced with those drugs and know how to make a trip a good one through preperation.

I have found the best 3 things in conjunction with each other that will help with RLS:

Magnesium - double dose 2-3 times daily
Potassium - single dose twice a day
Loperamide - 12-18mg for the first few bad days

Also, if you can by day 2 or 3, take a walk. Not a 10 min around the block walk, but a good 45min to 1hr walk, your legs will hate you during but after it will be completely worth it. Walking works for me but I have found some that say it makes it worse, so who knows. Hope this helps and stay strong!!
