Heroin When the waters too thick (Experienced IV users please)...

Bottled water does NOT go "syrupy" after being opened, but it does start growing bacteria quickly once its been cracked. You should absolutely NOT reuse water like that. I prefer using purified water (new bottle every time unless you're literally doing consecutive shots) over tap but my understanding is that it's not necessarily more sterile. Only real sterile bacteriostatic water from the pharmacy/injection site or wherever is properly 'safe'. Still, I've never had an issue using new bottled purified/distilled (not spring) water and sterile technique, countless misses notwithstanding. I pick it over tap if possible.

As for your dope being thick, tar is nasty and it's the cuts or poorly processed stuff itself that's the issue. Gross. Absolutely invest in some micron/wheel filters if your dope is that dirty.

Just use tap water. Are u using tar… ? let it cool if so. Can you get some free needles from a needle exchange?
Be careful, I just got tested for Hep C. So grateful I didn't catch it…

Speaking from experience I have had bottled water go syrupy after 6-7 days. Maybe not all brands do, but some do.
I only use sterile water from exchanges now.

Try lowering the gauge of the needle to maybe…. 28 or 29. Try using a 1cc syringe as I find that the 1/2cc barrelled ones have the solution re-percipitate into the barrel. Also let the solution cool in the cooker before drawing.

There's two things you can do: get a bigger rig or do less in a shot. 1/2 mL is a pretty small shot. Most people use at least 1mL if not bigger rigs.

Filtering using a cotton is mostly a formality*, it isn't actually removing any of the fine particulate that can damage small blood vessels. It only really removes the big chunks. For best health and safety you should look into getting a pack of 0.2 micron wheel filters.

If it's powder heroin you should not need to cook it to get it dissolved - it should be plenty water soluble on its own and heating it will only dissolve more cuts (thereby making it more viscous).
If it's tar heroin and you're cooking it, you should let it cool in your spoon again before filtering. Otherwise, as the liquid cools, dissolved tars and the like can come out of solution. If it happens in the syringe it can clog. (And injecting anything hotter than body temperature can damage your veins and tissue).

Also, fresh cold tap water is a better source of water than bottled water.

*Storytime with sekio! I read a (probably apocryphal) story that the use of cotton balls in preparing injections actually wasn't for their use as filters. It was to protect the delicate tip of the needle from banging against the spoon or other vessel and losing its sharpness. Whether or not this is true remains a mystery.
50s work fine.
when i was on heroin, id use 10 units per bag, and at my worst, i was doing half bundle shots, and id end up with like 50 units per shot.
50 is enough for almost a half gram of methamphetamine as well, like .4, and 50s would work for injecting crack as well.
i think OP either has garbage dope or doesnt know what theyre doing.
cause ive injected some pretty thick methamphetamine solutions amd never had any issues.

I get the job done. It just takes forever to draw it up...then when I plunge it into my arm it takes alot more force...

All this talk about using bottled water... I IV'd for 2 and a half years and use tap water (in southern cali if it matters) and never had any complications... Perhaps i'm lucky?

I really dont think it matters man. But if ur trying to be as clean as possible, then use alky swabs, bottled water.

Extremely lucky.... Cali water is usually good as long as the building piping is good. I one could boil water for 5-10 then draw up a few sterile needles warth of the sterilized water. Distilled bottled water is best, but still boil it in a stainless steel pot sterilized with alcohol or heat first.

Actually luck doesnt have to do with it. Although the center of heated debate, a few studys support tap water being significantly safer for iv use than bottled. Many forum members, ie seiko, believe tap is better. Personally though I use bottled, but the point being both are usable sources for iv use.

What does it matter? ...When afterall, you are boiling it right? Doesnt that kill all bacteria?

Besides, I doubt the bad stuff is coming from the water.. Dont u think the bad comes more from the heroin? lol

I heard you gotta boil the water for like 15 minutes to kill the bacteria, I only use the little glass bottles from the exchange.

Then the only worrry is what your shit is cut with

15 minutes should be enough to kill most (not all types of) bacteria if you're using an autoclave / a pressure cooker to reach 121 degrees celsius temperature. People probably should get saline for injection from the pharmacy instead if you want your water free of bacteria (or those little glass bottles you get from the exchange, I'm assuming they serve the same purpose).
