op do you gte the same problem with other substances or just this one?

never mind, re-read your first post. i once tried snorting a crushed up 6-apb
pill and that went stright to the back of my throat.

It started happening to me with heroin and roxies either right before or right after I burned a hole in my septum.

I'd been going heavy and then no matter how big, small, fast, slow, angle or tube used, it just bypassed everything and hit my throat directly.

The only thing that helped, was if I mixed my dope with a heavier powder--like coke. I would pour out my dose of H or oxy, and then chop up about half a line of coke and mix the two powders together. The heavier and not so fine powder of the coke now stuck to the dope powder would hit the membranes and cavaties it was supposed to instead of flying to my throat.

(PS, once my septum was clearly and undeniably perforated, it has become near impossible for me to get a drip in my left nostril, so hitting my throat is never an issue anymore. IDK why this is, but its like the hole in my septum. And maybe some more damage I'm not aware of, has changed the size/shape of my nasal cavaties and everything I snort gets stuck somewhere up there and NEVER, EVER, EVER drip down my throat---not directly or a few mins after snorting masive lines, I just don't get drips anymore.....)

OP make sure you don't listen to the person who told you to stick to one nostril, you're going to want to rotate to avoid nasal damage. What he was explaining about the pain around his eye is a sign of sinus damage. When I was heavily using cocaine daily this started happening to me after the anaesthetic effect wore off and throughout the day I'd feel like I had a booger coming loose and I'd snort sharply--well eventually one landed on my tongue and I spit it out and it wasn't a booger, it was a piece of dead skin/sinus. Lesson: ROTATE

Also, to the poster that said he mixed coke with his heroin because it is heavier, I doubt the actual cocaine powder has a lot more density than the heroin, it's just that it clumps together and draws the humidity to make you think it feels heavier. That's also a waste from just not snorting properly.

You're going to want to listen to Tricomb about how to snort. When you snort you don't want to be drawing air from your mouth, even the stuff in there when your mouth is closed as that will tend to bring a harder snort and draw it back your throat. Make sure you're snorting just with your nose, when you do so you'll be able to feel that you can't really draw that hard of a snort--not compared to doing it the other way anyway--so listen to Tri's advice and keep that in mind and you should be good to go. Big amounts of powder didn't work as great for me, but still possible if you keep the only nose breathing technique going. If you're having trouble with it, there is a way to avoid it. Try breathing out all the air that you have in your longs/mouth before you snort (then there is nothing to draw back the powder other than your nose...see what I mean?) then when you go to take a haul everything will come through the nostril and not go everywhere and make you choke.

A lot of typing for a small technique, I know, but it's one of those things easier shown than written.

Just to clarify it only happens with my left nostril. Oxymorphone or Oxycodone doesnt matter.

I have solved the problem though, I believe I was getting a build up of probably opana. Ever since I have started using Neti-pot 2x daily the problem has been solved. Im guessing the membranes were getting coated from the ER mechanisms in the OG Opana.

Oh hey boss, sorry about bringing back the thread, I didn't even read the timestamp, so I hope you didn't think I was just tryin to be a dick and sound like I knew what I was doing. I was just hoping you'd get the most out of your gear, cause I know how expensive opioids are--prescription or recreational. I just put the "bump" stamp on it to make a joke about snorting, haha takin a bump, but I guess it worked both ways for me, haha!

That's good to hear though, I'm glad it's working for you. So how are the generic oxymorphs anyway? I've never tried oxymorph since I live in Canada, but I'd love to and have read enough about the brand name ones to get an idea of how they work and possibly feel. However I'm a hydromorph guy since that works great for pain and is popular here in Canada in both the CR and IR forms; though I have to admit, oxymorph sounds like the bigger, better big cousin. Ohhh man I'd love to try it! I just tried heroin for the first time the other night and I love the heavy nod-inducing stone, so I imagine I'd like oxymorph. What do you think?

I find that IV heroin feels different from IV morphine even after the rush is over. When some is converted to morphine the remaining 6-acetylmorphine must actually have a strong action cause it feels a little different, at least I find that. What do you think Tri? Do you find they compare at all, or are they different feeling for you? Also, what kinda heroin did you try, tar or powder? Sorry to get off-topic, I'm just curious cause it's new and it's NEVER found around my area.

^Yeah, IV heroin does feel different from IV morphine after the rush, I definitely agree, because the heroin I was using was tar and thus, contained impurities and other opioid alkaloids that make the experience unique.

I just prefer morphine because I'm really anal about knowing exactly what I've taken and how much, etc. Also, pharmaceutical quality can't be beat, certainly not by tar!

Yes! I actually had mentioned the neti pot for it. Everyone should invest in one

No sweat, I didn't see the bump icon, I breezed right past it, lol. I didnt intend for my post to sound harsh either, all good though!

The generic OxyM are just as good the OG Opana's, however in my area they are catching and and getting more popular, very sad; hope these don't end up in a reformulation. There really is no difference between the Generic OxyM and name brand Opana(Old formula that is), if anything I feel the generic works quicker when you snort it; I'm leading to believe because it doesn't have the Timer-RX, although I'm not sure what the ER action is. I never tried HydroM, so I cant compare it for you. But I can compare it to East Coast heroin, I will say the OxyM blows heroin out of the water, IMO anyway.

You can't do anything with the new Opana, they suck for pain; period; thus everyone wants the 15mg generics.

Absolutely, if you snort, you need a Neti-pot! After I get done with it I can breathe so much better. And as I said it cleans out your sinuses/mucosa membranes, so anything stuck to them will be washed away, thus leading to better absorption of your substance.
