When smoking meth eyes seem to bulge?

When I smoke meth my eyes feel like they are bulging, like there is a lot of pressure in them, almost like they are going to pop. What does this mean? Does anyone else get this way on it? It makes for a paranoid body high because I'm worried about the physical effects.

Plenty do, yes. It's probably because your blood pressure's very high. It's not healthy, but it's not going to cause your eyes to pop, and the sensation doesn't usually last more than an hour or two for most.

Not really. Obviously purity can play a role, but so can a myriad of other factors. Any stimulant can have a similar effect, it just depends how strongly the adrenergic effects hit you that particular day, how much you've taken, how well rested you are, how great your stores of NE are, how much tyramine's in your system, the kind of mental mood you're in, and so on and on.

Do your eyes feel pressured regularly at all?

Dont mean to freak you out, but that can be a warning sign of glaucoma, which can cause you to lose your peripheral vision. Meth could be making it worse.

Thats probably not the case, but if you can, I'd get it checked at an optometrists office.

This exactly. Something as small as what you ate and drank that day can play huge roles in the effects. There are literally hundreds of different factors. As CFC said, it's most likely a result of elevated blood pressure.

Why do speed freaks ALWAYS point to a lack of purity as the culprit of any negative side effects they experience, especially when the side effects are widely known to be common to stimlulant use, and they are taking massive doses of one of the most powerful stimulants in the world. Methamphetamine isn't a drug you should expect to be able to take euphoric+ doses of with any regularity and NOT experience side effects.

You don't see smack heads saying the dope is cut too much when one of them falls out after a shot.
