I know pure H is white, however anything I've ever seen near here always looks at least very light brown and turns light ish yellow brown when adding water. In my experience, the darker brown it is, especially after adding water, the stronger it is. I've had stuff that was only very pale tan color and still very good, but never dark brown that turned out to be weak.

Is there a basis and explanation for this? I don't get how this can be the case when the pure drug itself is white. I always see people discussing black tar or china white, but I've never even seen dope that is tarlike or black, or requiring mixing with acid. As I said, every single bag I've bought has been powder, dissolvable and varying shades of brown.

No, not at all. I'm sorry man you don't seem to understand our policy on acceptable threads / OD material. This is pure speculation, if it were as simple as a color test, well, you'd already know about it.

The only way to know actual potency is to run it through gas chromatography / multiple spectrum analysis. I feel like I've told you these exact words before. Please review the OD guidelines and BLUA before posting again, no offense but you need a refresher; the majority of your threads seem to end up being closed by either myself of my co-workers.

As you become a more experienced user, you may notice that there are certain cues that are good signs of high potency product, but the only real way of knowing is to do test shots. Test shots save lives, since every bag can contain different amounts of heroin, any two bags even of the same stamp from the same batch, you can never be sure that it's been homogenized, either by the dealer who sold it to you or the dealer who sold it to your dealer.
