When is it safe to take Dextroamphetamine after Oxycodone?

I took 15mg of Oxycodone about 2 hours ago, when would it be safe to take 10mg of Dex?


I have never done Dex before and I have a very low opiate tolerance, needing only 10-15mg to get a strong buzz.

When I took the 15mg I got a strong mood lift and I am still feeling it right now, I don't plan on dosing it until after +4 hours...

Thanks in advance...I expect I should get another mood lift, etc?

Mixing the two wouldn't be dangerous, and in fact, would lower the chances of an opioid overdose. Mixing the two could have a synergistic effect on euphoria for you, but some find the two diminish each other. So to answer your question, any time would be a safe time to take it. Perhaps try 5mg at first though to gauge your tolerance, and wait 30 minutes to an hour before deciding to redose if you want, though 10mg of dex isn't too terribly much.

With those dosages you're fine taking it now. You'll most likely feel an increase in euphoria and more energy/chattiness etc. Mixing opiates with stimulants is safer than combining CNS depressants, provided you keep it to low doses of course. Obviously it's never smart to combine high doses of drugs.

I agree with Pagey... You can dose amps and opioids concurrently and be fine. It will exponentiate the euphoria and drastically increase synaptic dopamine levels.

Myeah, although it must be emphasised that combining amps and opiates is quite dangerous if you're not very careful, because they will mask some of each other's effects and will get you to dose much more than you should, which leads to overdoses. But in this situation you're absolutely fine OP. I'm just saying in the interest of HR, be careful with those sorts of combos

The situations in which overdoses occur are when the stimulant wares off quicker than the depressant and respiratory depression/arrest occur and cause the user to die because the depressant dose was too large to begin with - it's not from "the strain on your heart" like many people say; in fact, it puts less strain on your heart than dosing a stimulant on its own. You should be fine with your dosing though.

edit: the only reason I stated it could reduce euphoria is that it would decrease the "nod" received from the oxy.

^This. Amphetamines and opioids are often co-prescribed. Just don't go overboard on the opioids because as Jktm mentioned if you take an overdose of an opioid while on a stimulant, the stimulant could be negating the effects of the overdose until and if it wears off before the opioid, in which case you will be effectively in overdose, and possibly death.

So to practice doing this safely, take the opioid first, wait until its full onset, then dose the amphetamine. If you intend to take more opioids while the amphetamine is still active, be very careful and responsible in gauging your dose.

Its a great combo. I have Chronic pain and take OC20's twice a day and have been around the block with every opioid and can say Dextroamphetamine and OxyContin together is probably one of the greatest pleasures. I had so much trouble focusing but when I took my OxyContin with my Adderall (which I take on and off as needed) I felt "perfect" and the euphoria was so intense, yes nodding is not really going to happen quite like straight up Oxy but when you come off the Dex hopefully you'll have some Oxy left to take if not in your system and you'll feel quite fine. I should mention that I was prescribed Adderall XR 30mg with Hydromorphone ER, Morphine, and Oxycodone ER many times and doctors were not too too concerned. Another combo I found nice was Tussinex which is Hydrocodone Extended Release in syrup mixed in Mountain Do and throw a couple of Adderall beads in. I did that before I got an official script for any narcotics in high school when I had severe pain, I couldn't even sit in a chair or get my work done in school and that mix (I called it my version of the Brompton cocktail!) eased the pain a bit and gave me a nice buzz...again everyone is different to please look up conversion calculators/charts before you try any of this.

So what happened that night was I ended up taking too much dex (60mg over the course of about 12 hours) again I had no tolerance. I think it was because I fell in love with the two-three hour peak of euphoria. Well the comedown sucked, I was speedy then after my last dose wore off, I took 15mg roxi and I didn't really feel the roxi, so I think it was a waste.
