When is freeze precip on DMT completely done?

I definately have crystals forming on the walls in my jars, but the naphtha is sti cloudy.

I started with about 400ml I used for a 1/2lb of MHRB and it was clear yellow tinted, then I evap'ed to about 1/3rd that and its now in the freezer.

Just wondering if I should wait till the naphtha turns clear to let more precipitate out or if its cloudy because it is below freezing.

I wait like a week. :D I just put the jar in and forget about it for a week or two, then come back and suck the naptha layer off, and I've never had to worry about it.

But depending on how cold your freezer is, after ~24-48 hours most of the DMT will precipitate out. Just be patient, rushing the process will only serve to reduce yield.

Well after a whole week is the naphtha still cloudy or does it clear up by then?

if its cloudy after a week than the cloudy stuff isnt DMT or your freezer isnt cold enough.

Sometimes what appears to be "cloudy naptha" is actual a snow globe partially formed.

I say FP for a full week without ever moving the jar. at this point whatever has not precipitated WILL NOT precipitate and will have to be evaporated.

Just so I know for the future - Does DMT degrade at all when fully dissolved in room temperature naphtha and let sit for a few days?

It took me forever to evap even with a fan and if my memory serves me correctly I read somewhere that naphtha will eventually break the molecule down.. But i only have so much room in my freezer for all these jars and baking dishes.

I read somewhere that some like to refridgerate before freezing, as crystallisation happens better when things are cooled gradually (I think I remember that from GCSE chemistry <_<).

Can you 'turn up' (or down?) the thermostat on your your freezer? try doing that... I don't know, I'm shit with appliances.
