What else is left
When good isn't good enough
I poored my heart out
Endless days and nights..It took forever
And finally we had eachother
Nervous feelings made it impossible
To be true
To myself
To you
Feeling whishing nothing would change
Knowing it must be too good to be true
Holding back
To supress the inevitable
The inevitable that my all would fall short
So I tried to give all..
While holding back my hidden desire...
Leaving Excellence behind
Satisfying for Good
Then wondering why it falls apart
If only time waited
I was ready each moment
But
Too scared to show it
So my good wasn't good enough.

I am very much like that too. But i can see it more and more today in our kids in college. IT seems they push them so hard and never it is never enough!
Wonderful poem and very some truth that everyone needs to hear.
