Opioids When CWEing Codeine/Ibuprofin

There are many threads about this, Ive found on Google, so I'm sorry in advance if this is 'another one of those' threads. I have some questions, if you have some time.

Theoretically, what are the dangers of crushing, say, 9 pills(8mg Codeine/400+ Ibuprofin), and putting too much water in the mixture to cool in the refrigerator?

Say, the person saw the powdered Codeine/Ibuprofin and the mixed water and believed it was too...frothy, too thick, and added 50-100 more mil. of water to the glass, for no reason other than it 'didnt look right.' Cooled it, and filtered it, and drank a cloudy white glass filled about... two coffee mugs full of liquid.

Sounds like a foolish, careless person to me! But they might want your help anyhow.

And a side question: how important is the method of crushing? Especially if the pills are very hard. Is there danger in using a clean coffee bean grinder to do all the work for you and ending up with powder the texture of flour?

I ask on this forum, because from the posts I've seen there are some very knowledgeable people here, and everyone appreciates good input, don't they?

how much water did you begin with? comparing the water solubility of codeine vs ibuprofen is a good starting point - being drunk i can't rattle the numbers off the top of my head but you know how to work google

i'm not sure where you're situated but most all codeine pills OTC in australia don't need to be crushed. adding water and stirring for a minute or two is enough to break them down usually. i see no harm in using a grinder - it's just breaking them down anyhow.

Ibuprofen is pretty safe for CWE. I don't remember exactly but its solubility is less than 1mg per ml so even a liter of water would ideally contain only a gram. Of course since you said it was cloudy it is hard to say how much got through the filter. You should ensure you don't have ibu lysine salt which is much more soluble in water.

Symptoms of ibuprofen overdose can be found here but if you got the majority of pill mass in your filter you likely don't have anything to worry about, and as this post is 8 hours later you're probably already fine.

In the future I'd recommend not using over 50-100ml of water despite your theoretical self's unfounded misgivings of frothy substances.
