I had a raging Xanax addiction (8-10mg). I'm on k-pins right now. I take about 8 mg since I ran out of Xanax eventhough I'm prescribed to take to a day.

I have been taking the K-pins on and off for about a month. I have 2mg x2 pills left.

Will withdrwal symptoms begin to hit soon? I've heard K-pins stay in your system longer and are not as problematic as the immediate withfrwal from Xanax.

Scared.

Thanks
Brian

Yes that is quite a high dose to just stop cold turkey.. I have seen people have a seizure from much less than what you have been taking. Benzo withdrawal is a serious thing. You need to either get another prescription and try to taper down, or go to the ER and explain your situation. Or go see your doctor like, now, and have him help you with a tapering schedule.

Bottom line is, going cold turkey will be VERY fucking horrible and potentially life threatening.

Klonopin withdrawal starts at like 12-20 hours after dose ime. A physical habit to benzos is developed with doses of 4 mg or more daily for 120 or more. You need to go to a hospital to detox if you want to be safe. You could do it on your own but most people cant because of the compulsion. I couldnt. And i didnt even really have a physical habit yet.

Where did you get that information from? You can develop a physical dependence and get withdrawals after using for as little as 1-2 months, with A LOT less than 4mg daily..

You didn't tell us how long you've had this habit. If it's long term, you're likely in for some pretty severe withdrawals. For me, the worst always came 4-8 days after I took my last dose. I would suffer terrible rebound anxiety in the first 1-3 days, but then I would start to think maybe I was weathering the storm and it might get better before it would come on REALLY bad. Having a grand mal seizure in public and then realizing I'm in an ambulance on the way to the hospital is not something I ever want to repeat.

xanax withdrawal come on after 6 to 8 hours after my last dose

thankfully im not on those anymore.

get some medical attention, they will put you on a longer acting benzo to help taper you down.
