When I take methadone to get high (and I'm sick of the people who say you can't get high off methadone because I've been doing it for years) I stop eating for a couple of hours before to allow it to be absorbed faster. Once I have taken it, however, how long should I wait to eat if I want to avoid it from interfering with the absorption of the drug through the small intestine?

I don't know if it really matters, empty stomach or not. I always take my methadone in the morning, though, so I don't know. But I agree with you: methadone can provide a good high, and very long too.

^ this.

It's going to be absorbed pretty quickly. Once it is, I don't see any benefit to not eating... in fact, although I haven't used methadone, when I was taking opioids, I would love eating right when they kicked it. I always felt that satiating that hunger when the opioids were hitting made the euphoria stronger.

yah it really doesnt matter. the only reason to take pills on an empty stomach is to increase the velocity at which the chemical is absorbed (i.e. the rush). methadone does not produce any rush at all; peak sedation occurs 3-5 hours after ingestion. methadone made me feel good, but didn't give that rush like IR oxy does. however, 'done + roxi was the best high i have ever had.
