When can I take opiates again

Without withdrawals anybody know? I know I've already been clean since sunday. I feel good but I was wondering when I can use as needed again? Thanks in advance.

Thank you purple cloud. I was on about 8-10 30 mg oxycodones a day. Withdrawals sucked by I wanted to lower tolerance and also try to stop being addicted. Cause we all know how the mornings are when we use. I'm trying to use as needed and I've chewed and snorted them even though they're ir.

Um... we need a little bit more information, like how long were you using for previously & how long have you been clean for?

I've been doing this for about a month. Before that I was clean for 2 months. It's funny how fast tolerance raises. I lost control and I'm trying to catch myself before it gets bad. Before that I used for 2 years straight going up to 12-16 a day sometimes even more. Obviously in those 2 years I worked up to the 12-16 30mg tablets going from chewing one to snorting about 14 a day.

No, violenza the question I'm asking is when can I take my medicine again without having to worry about waking up sick. Or where is my pill bottle every 6-8 hours because I'm starting to withdraw. But as I said I feel good today and I will feel even better tomorrow I know it takes a while to heal from addiction so it doesn't spiral again. So what I'm saying is, is 5-7 days long enough for me to be ok to not withdraw taking as needed. I understand where your coming from if I do some now I'll be back at stage one I'm trying to only use the meds for pain.

I think I understand but imo, no matter if you are just trying to use your pain meds for just pain, since you abused them a few times before & got up to 16 (30mgs) roxi a day which is one heck of an addiction, its gonna be hard to stick with "just for pain" because if im not mistaken, doesnt your tolerance return pretty quick after a small break.

I mean, if you took like a 5 year break, I would say it looks good but you were only clean for 2 months & I just dont see how your 480mgs of roxi tolerance wont still be here. I guess it can be done but I doubt you get high off a few a day but it doesnt matter cause you're doing it for pain anyway. How do 4 or 5 roxis a day feel now a days or how ever many you are taking?

You need to stick to the 3 day rule: Don't do any HXC opiates for 3 or more days in a row. If ur physical withdrawls are over, then it should be fine. I feel ur pain bro! Im on day 2, H withdrawls. I've found that meth really helps if you have enough of it to smoke, snort, shoot for 3 days straight.

ATX Represent!

I've heard that you can use for eight hours out of every 72 hours but I've never been able to stick to that. Subs for me. If you really need them for pain maybe you could talk to a pain specialist? It's always a slippery slope with the opies. Hopefully someone who uses them for pain will chime in.

I haven't taking any since Sunday I'm trying to go as long as possible dealing with pain and withdrawals like I said no fun but has to be done. I hate being dependent on these damn things even though they're needed.

Dude, if you're in pain, there is no way around it, you need pain meds.

^what he said. There's no reason for you to suffer in pain. I won't do it no matter what it does to mud tolerance. But I'm in pain management.

Hi. Having read your quotes, it seems that if there's no way to stop the cause of your pain, then your always going to be dependent on your medication. In which case i would recomend always having some methadone available(legally or not) so you are able to still take your meds and not go sick. Or, go and score some heroin to take recreationally, so you use your meds for their intended purpose. Unfortunately you seem to be stuck between a rock and a hard place! A friend had a similar problem and he used to use H to come off methadone, and use methadone to come off H. But was always left dependent anyway. My advice is keep your meds for what you need them for, and if you want to get high, go and get something else to do it with. You'l also enjoy it more anyway. Good luck!

@Iamthetruth - Hey man, Because you tolerance is very high, it's impossible to know exactly how long it will take for your medication will become useful again as a pain reliever. Let's face it, there is no way you could take it as prescribed right now and get ANY relief! You said you were taking roughly 14 generic 30's (IR) a day via mouth or by snorting. So, about 420mg a day. Quite a bit. You will have to quit entirely for several months to be able to use your medication as prescribed again. It WILL take that long or longer (Trust me!). However, Like many here have recommended, You can spring for some Heroin, and just forget the pills. If you can afford it that is.. But, the good news is that Heroin is much cheaper than any opiate pill you'll find on the street (Percocets, Oxy's, ect), and a small snipppp piece of decent Heroin WILL get ya high, based on everything you've told us. Good luck, brother!
(Please note that, of course this is just my opinion, however it IS based on years of experience)
