My wife and I have been working on the perfect playlist of music for us to roll to. We don't go clubbing and often while we wait for the peak set up a playlist on iTunes. Our tastes are more slanted to Classic Rock, so we have stuff like Maggie May, Garden Party, Strawberry Fields, but also trashy pop like Lady Gaga and Backstreet Boys. Anyone else have realy mixed selections?

Death metal, black metal, thrash metal, gangster rap, trance, dubstep, 1200 micrograms, and johnny cash

I find that for rolling at home, I want music that can work well in the background or in the foreground. You're not in a club; use the experience to talk and relax, and select music that you can focus on when you want to but can work to create a great warm druggy atmosphere when your attention is elsewhere. This will naturally depend on your tastes.

For me, I generally listen to the druggier selections from my normal favorites - stuff you love to listen to under any circumstances but just know would be wild in a different state of mind. My all time rolling favorite is Ricardo Villalobos, especially his Vasco EP. Even my good-ol'-boy, classic-rock-loving friend from southern Indiana enjoyed it while rolling.

Check out ambient, house, and electro. Those are my favorite genres.

I would choose music with the "energy" of how you want to roll. In a relaxing home setting, ambient might be preferred whereas at a rave of some sort, house or electro would be more fun.

Some artists I recommend-Pretty Lights, Shpongle, Aphex Twin

Pretty Lights is my favorite artist to listen to while rolling, Shpongle is my favorite to listen to while tripping, and Aphex Twin got me into electronic music, he is considered ambient.

I typically am listening to EDM of various kinds when I roll, but I'm not an "EDM head" for lack of a better term. I enjoy it when I'm not rolling, but I could only name a few artists, who may not even be considered quality EDM. The last time I rolled however, my friends and I listened to a lot of indie hip-hop(Atmosphere, Brother Ali, Doomtree), as well as some more mellow stuff(Jack Johnson was incredible). YMMV.

I feel as though EDM really intensifies the roll, but other music can be just as rewarding, but in a different way.

Anything that has a lot of energy. Honestly. It needs to sound good, I'm usually a music snob when I'm not rolling, but if I'm rolling, I fall in love with nearly every high energy song that gets me going. Forever.

I have songs that bring me back to that feeling, because I have vivid memories of rolling and listening to them, and that's why i love them.

OK, other than my favorites UK hard house and Amsterdam hardstyle, I like Tool, Wolfsheim, VNV Nation, Depeche Mode (have rolled several times at their concert, amazing!) And honestly one time my friend put on Gregorian Chants and it was SO beautiful (not for a long time, but for a short time it was cool.) I also rolled at my friend's big band blues concert and it sounded INCREDIBLE, I was bouncing in my seat.

Kroniic knows what he's talking about lol
Also Avicii is really uplifting makes you love everything 10x more :p

I think there is a reason classic house/acid/techno was around when E really hit the streets in the late 80s and early 90s. It's like they were made for each other - the catchy beats, disembodied voices, trippy synth effects but warm and happy basslines seem to me to tick all the right boxes.

This tune was one of THE classics in the UK Summer of Love: Can You Party and this was a classic in the 90s Passion

I understand that one day, when i feel i havent really got it in me anymore to go to raves or clubs or whatever that i may take MDMA indoors, and want my favourite Euphoric tunes blasting as I Roll,
But otherwise i wouldn't like to do it indoors again for a LONGGGGG time, only once around a friends.

But When the day comes , my Music rolling list will include these, and tracks along these lines:

Slyder - Score
Binary Finary 1998 (Perfecto mix )
Blockster - Groovline (Matt Darey Mix)
Da Hool - Meet Her At The Love Parade
Digital blonde - Legato
Cosmic Gate - The Wave
Cygnus X - Orange Theme
Ground Zero - Fallout
Mauro Picotto - Lizard
Eyeball (Pulser Remix)
The Space Brothers - Shine [Commie Remix]
Kirsty HawkShaw - Fine Day
Marco V. - False Light
CRW - I Feel Love (RAF Zone Mix)
Urban Astronauts - See the Sun [Aurosonic Mix]
Des Mitchell - Welcome to the dance
Andy McGirr - Fall Out
Ratty - Sunrise

Ive always had a passion for trance, was my first genre to start listening to. Some of them tracks arent Old classic trance, but the majority are.
Love the euphoria and the Chills down my spine feeling...

...Until that day comes however, it's all up to the DJ's at events i go to make me have that Excellent Feel Great , and utter music Euphoria Feeling !
