What's your least favorite benzo?

Librium? Oxazepam?

I haven't tried all benzos (who has?!), but my least favorite benzo is Oxazepam. The onset of action takes too long, and slow, so when you're really anxiety-ridden, you almost lose your mind before the pill(s) start to work. They don't work too well either.
My opinion.

But I haven't heard about anyone being mad about Librium either...
Though I haven't tried those myself.

hah, this is a new take on a common thread...i dont think ive ever seen a least fav benzo post...

mines gotta be xanax, it makes me feel all depressed when i take it. sometimes its good but thats like one in a dozen times...

also weak benzos, stuff like estazolam, librium, ativan...id take them, but i wouldnt go out of my way to get them

lorazepam/ativan. the first time i took it, it was fun. after that it just never seemed to do anything. i took 10 mg once and barely felt anything at all and that's back when 20 -30 mg of valium would get me feeling really nice.

what a redicuous question. all benzos are good by default silly heads

Ativan even though it works there are no physical symptoms (i.e. fun) also Klonopins much the same as Ativan but a slight fun edge :)

i UedTFSE [although half assed =)], but didn't come up with anything. i was wondering what the benzo heads considered the weakest and lamest benzos to use recreationally.

as of now, i only have one to add to the list: 15mg roche midazolam. i got no effects off of it what-so-ever. i sucked all the coating off (less burn, ya know lol), snorted 4, and..nothing happened. ugh, and i had such high hopes when jasoncrest(?) highly recommended it, too.

but i digress. in your experience, what have you found to be a waste of money or total let down when it came to benzos used stirctly for recreation?

I like diazepam (valium) the best, but not its metabolite oxazepam (serax) as is takes quite some time to reach peak plasma levels. My second favorite would have to be lorazepam (ativan) despite it being short acting. I find it to be pretty euphoric.

I would have to say probably Diazepam or Clonazepam is my least favourite because they take so long to kick in. Clonazepam can be really fun at times when it works, but you have to take a huge dose (6mg) of Clonzepam to feel it well, and it takes a good 2+hours to feel Clonazepam for me.

Diazepam on the other hand has really never done a THING for me even in high doses. Perhaps the reason is that I was ordering online from an IOP and got the 10mg Blue Apaurine brand, and they must be weally weak and only contain like 2mg or something. So, I wish I could get some Canadian brand Diazepam to see if there is a change, I'd like to find out all the hype about diazepam really. (I've never ever been prescribed it.)

Alprazolam is the best benzo for treating Anxiety/Panic attacks BAR NONE. It kicks in the fastest for me, even faster than Sublingual Lorazepam for extreme panic attacks. Alprazolam also has antidepressant properties to it and it is the only benzo that has antidepressant properties in it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alprazolam

Lorazepam has made me have some major memory loss before, but it is a really good Benzo in lower doses for Acute Anxiety. (Also good for Opiate Withdrawals). The only thing that I find funny about Lorazepam (Ativan) is that some people go completely PSYCHO on it, and have massive mood swings and everything... Almost Schizophrenic type symptoms. For example (My brother and my dad can't seem to handle Ativan because they forget everything, almost lose all their motor skills as well.) This is the only benzo I've seen do this to someone.. Oh and also Clonazepam (sometimes).

Anyways, to answer the question, my least favourite benzo's would have to be Diazepam (so far), and Clonazepam (so far) -- although sometimes Clonazepam is VERY effective.

Diazepam might be the benzo with the quickest onset, or at least one of the ones with the quickest onsets. Though I do agree, it is shitty.

kpins... they make my friends unreal to deal with, they black out and become assholes immediately... especially one good friend in particular / we had to stop being roomates because of it... we we're inseperable... but with adding kpins to the equation he was unrecognizable

as far as favorite - i prefer xanex by far
followed by ativan and valium

that's weird, your friend didn't develop a tolerance?

nah they just made him black out and start fights with everyone including me, his best friend / practically my brother

out of control...

xanex and ativan were always fine

somewhat with the valiums too, but nothing like the kpins

Hi LuckyJamz.

Interesting what you say about clonazepam. I have experienced the same thing myself. Some years ago I was at a party, and I took a 2 mg Clonazepam pill in attempt to reduce my anxiety. I also drank alcohol - and I turned into a monster! Starting arguments, putting people up against eachother, etc.
Needless to say; I've never been invited back.

I'm no big fan of clonazepam otherwise either, it makes me too sleepy and lazy
in an uncomfortable way.
I don't like Xanax very much either, they make me feel too stoned (and not in a good way).

After all these years, and all those years, Valium is still my favorite.

Lorazepam I've never tried, since it's not registered in my country.
But must confess I'm curous about those so-much-talked-about pills...

I liked lorazepam the least, just never really enjoyed it nearly as much as other benzos. Lots of people here seem to love it though!

Clobazam
Oxazepam
Chlordiazepoxide
Prazepam

They are really the shittiest benzos I think... Weak, not recreational; not even really useful therapeutically compared to others....

(but you may still find them very enjoyable; they're still benzos)
