What's your ideal adderall IR dosage?

Just curious how others compare. I need 45mg when I study/do homework. I like 60-75mg because I'll get euphoria but the comedown is bad enough that I really can't study/work after the effects are nearly gone. I have friends that need like 20mg and they get the full effect it pisses me off lol. I only take it about once a week. And I'm 6'3" 220 so maybe that plays a role in need a higher dose as well.

Your height and weight have nothing to do with dosing amphetamines. This is a basic dosing question and is not OD material, moving to Basic Drug Discussion. I don't use amphetamine, but with dextro-methamphetamine my ideal dose range is 5-30mg.

60-80mg instant release is a ridiculously large dose, unless you are looking to tweak and be scatterbrained (useless for ADHD relief: memory retention tends to go down with huge doses, and the intense hyperfocus means you'll get no work done at all once you sidetrack and straight masturbating for 5 straight hours). These are purely recreational doses, and since they're so large, they can be seriously neurotoxic: the dopamine receptors literally peel back and die through dopamine autoxidation caused by the massive dopamine increase from tweaker doses like that.

An Adderall IR dose for proper ADHD relief should be no more than 10-15mg at a single time, IMO. Keep in mind that these ADD meds are used to give you focus, not to give you artificial motivation; motivation and working towards goals comes from within, since eventually those "honeymoon" effects will fade away quickly (then you're stuck chasing them with stupid doses like 60mg adderall. If you're getting euphoria, anorexia, insomnia, hyperfocus, excess motivation, excess energy, etc. then that means you took more than needed to balance your PFC levels of dopamine. ADHD is mostly dependent on PFC dopamine levels: if it's too low, ADHD symptoms abound, but if they're too high, then you get the euphoria, excess motivation, psychosis risk, shizophrenia risk, neurotoxicity risk, and your dopamine receptors start to die due to dopamine autoxidation.

If you keep taking large doses like this, you will literally give yourself ADHD (or much worse ADHD if you already have it) and depression by killing off dopamine receptors, which means less dopamine in the pre-frontal cortex DA synapses (PFC) A lot of meth and adderall abusers will become chronically depressed, have intense mood swings, have permanent paranoid shizophrenia, and give themselves permanent, severe ADHD... it's up to you if the "honeymoon" effects are worth literally destroying your dopamine receptors and all the lovely problems that come with that.

i agree. Mostly why I never do 60mg+ anymore. 45mg gives me the focus and motivation. I only do it once a week. I know it's high but I like the slight euphoria while I work. And yeah I end up looking at porn for hours then finally deciding to fap lol

I was Rx'd 20mg IR 2x Daily. That seemed to do the trick for me. Although I no longer take it, adderall just tickles my pickle the wrong way now.

Ergicmergic said it best: that drug was never intended to be used to make people go fast and using it that way will only have adverse side effects including but not limited to complete psychosis (especially if you're not sleeping on it). Even though the majority of people that use this drug use it for that very reason, it's not smart. You'd be better off with coke IMO. Adderall is meant for people like myself that can't pay attention to someone long enough for them to finish their sentence. I take 30 mg of xr twice a day which is the highest dose they're allowed to prescribe in Florida and I literally can't even feel it. I never feel it come on or diminish and even when I was on the instant release, I'd feel a minor boost for about 30 minutes but never euphoria. If you become euphoric, you've misused the drug. Btw, I'm not a strait edger; I'm on blow right now and I've spent my fair share of time trying to get a buzz out of my adderall but its a waste of time. Even if you do achieve something, you'll develop tolerance very quickly. I realize I answered a question you didn't ask but most people are quite ignorant to the risks of adderall abuse.
