It's not only black people that smoke them, but if you're black, from a really dense urban city (I'm from NYC and went to HS in the Bronx), from a bad neighborhood, etc, you probably smoke newports.

I prefer Newports but they cost more than Kools which are not too bad so I usually buy the kools and save $1 a pack almost,but I prefer Newports all the way...used to smoke marlboro reds,and camel lights,etc. but Newports have always been my favorite.

for menthol: newports, kools, or if I don't have a lot of money than maverick menthols, sometimes marb smooths which are more minty than menthol

Does anybody know where I can buy them with filters in the US?
I have found them nowhere, NOWHERE in the whole city of Los Angeles.

I don't smoke regularly, so I don't buy cigarettes, but If I did it probably would buy the 27's. I only smoke when I'm fucked up on opiates and I usually just bum a couple off my buddies. They mostly smoke marlboro red's and lights.
 
they don't make lucky strike filters for sale in the us anymore so you have to import them.
I use to like camels back before they changed the blend a few years back, but now my favorite brand is newports

For the children, silly. 'Cause djarum cherries were a deadly phenomenon sweeping playgrounds around the nation. Can't tell you how many time some 9-year-old walked up to me with a flavored cancer-stick in hand.

But more likely, the government just feels the need to constantly micro-manage everyone. If they don't pass some regulation or ban every once in a while, people might start to think that they're useless. And they can't have that now, can they?

It really is a shame - a friend of mine only smoked clove cigarettes, and now they're suddenly illegal. The whole thing is mental.
 
I'm not a cigarette smoker, but out of the 4 or 5 kinds I've tried, the Camels were the best. Podiums taste like shit, Belmonts taste like shit, and the menthol cigs are only good when I'm on some sort of amphetamine drug (IMO).
