I should really be asking do you even have one lol.

I found out the other night that I can successfully drink 5 211'Tall Boys'(6%) back2back, and after finishing that 5th one I didn't want anymore. I was pretty hammered then. Slept like a baby!

For wine and other spirits I have yet to determine an actual number of drinks, will report later on that.

So what's your cut off if you even got 1?

I don't usually buy more than a pint of liquor at a time. Drinking that gets me kinda drunk but not really drunk. I've developed a bit of a resistance to it... plus a general GABAergic tolerance. If I have a whole bottle, like 2/3 of it (1.5x the pint) is where I'd usually leave off.

Couldn't tell ya, if I get to the point of needing to purge, I'll end up hitting a boot'n'rally. Though that is a VERY rare occasion, tolerance is quite high. If I was to guess, a liter of Jimmy Beam Black.

This is a very time dependent question. I've had 20 "drinks" in a day before but that isn't impressive. 20 in an hour? I'd be poisoned.

Ahh good shit, i have the hardest time of 'finding my limit' when i drink straight liquor, usually vodka. That being said, $15 for 1.75litres last me 2 days.

If i'm going 'out' then my limit is the $ i got in my wallet lol.

Word up D's sometimes I'll come home a hundred dollars poorer like wtf did I do last night? Oh yea... Bars. (Not xanax, drinking holes.)

Don't really know, at some point I just black out and afterwards I wake up on the couch, hungover and with no money left.

Fuck bars. Last time I went to one, one glass of Wild Turkey was skimpy and cost $7. It was an average bar too, nothing special. I have little bar experience. I can just get a bottle for $20 and have a better time at home without social anxiety. Time is quite a factor though, I like to try and consume my booze in a shorter period, but I just can't down alcohol like a teenager anymore. I'm only 22, but still, my body/stomach just doesn't like a huge amount of booze in a short period anymore.

Bars often have beer you can't get off the shelf if you drink beer

Also benefit of good conversation with friendly strangers

Also benefit of street food which is one of the best foods

When getting hammered though just get some chicken wings for delivery, play some vidya or watch a movie, stay in.

I'll say my limit is 10-12 drinks in a normal drinking sesh. 8 is a sweet spot where I'm still coherent to do anything except drive.

IDK man. I wish I fuckin did. I wish alcohol wasn't such a sneaky ass drug too. Fucker. I hear it takes an hour for 1 drink to kick? Usually when I'm in a disciplined mood I condition myself to a small amount of strong drinks. Other times Ima wildboy and go until I force a finger down my own throat like a bitch. Or I just rub cocaina all up on dem gums if I don't wanna puke. Once I get there I stop drinking. Once I had 3 beers and 3 scotches and was puking to no end of ceasing nausea. I hate that feeling.

I think I'm gonna be a more disciplined drinker these days though cuz bein' a wild-boy is no fun IME

Depends what it is. I hate beer so it's pretty easy for me to cut myself off, but if it's liquor we're talking I basically drink until I can't physically pick up a glass anymore...When I'm drunk all I wanna do is drink more lmao, a very dangerous trait.

Potatoman: its one hour to metabolize one beer. You should be feeling the alcohol effects almost immediately.

Umm probably around 13-20 shots or around a half bottle of vodka/rum in a few hours, but it depends. I've drank a whole bottle of vodka before in 3-4h without blacking out, in fact I've only had 1 black out ever.
I don't normally drink that much, only if I'm at a party and have a place to crash right there or near.
If im at the bar or just hanging out usually have a few beer or 2-3 mixed drinks.

The cutoff for me, is when I am too inebriated to actually move or poor another drink for that matter. This is why I only drink on rare occasions.

For me, drinking a fifth/quart of hard liquor is not unheard of. This is with no tolerance of course. When I have gone through periods of alcohol dependence, I have routinely consumed 1.5 quarts per day of hard liquor. It is no laughing matter how badly alcohol can fuck up your body and mind. We are taught as Americans that drinking is perfectly normal and safe and extreme drunkenness is seen more as a punch line to a joke then anything serious.

Alcohol is very addictive and the reinforcing effect of both dependency and hangovers can easily lead to 'round the clock drinking. The withdrawal is a nightmare, which leads many people to give up hope and continue drinking.

1 bottle of wine OR 1 six-pack of 8+% beer OR about half a fifth of liquor. All spread out over a few hours of course.

8%-10% beer is the normal for me because its all imperial stuff, if you drink 5 of those its pretty much like 10 actual drinks if you think about it.

Anything less than 7% and I'm going to the bathroom too much :(

PS: kief Richards you ever wanna get smashed and play some centipede @ tilt lemme kno

My limit goes not in the amount I drink, but in the blood alcohol content, ie how fast I drink the alcohol. As long as I let the liver clear a bit, I can keep drinking indefinitely without my body forming toxic metabolites that make me want to not drink. All it takes is half a bottle of wine drunk too fast to have me puking on the toilet with the worst hangover imaginable afterwards, but if I pace it out I can easily drink a dozen beers without even getting a hangover. It's the art of staying tipsy.

what, one beer every hour for 12 hours? xD

i can have 3-4 beers in a night, i can't really afford to drink, if i was rich, i would probably drink more

This is what I was sort of getting at with my first post in this thread. Buzzing at the right rate is an art. Though half a bottle of wine is only about 2.5 drinks, if that's making you sick I'd blame the wine, not the alcohol lol.
