Opioids What's up with the current availability/price of poppy pods?!?!

This is not a thread for price discussion!! However, I've noticed the prices of poppy pods on my usual site, as well as all the others, the prices have nearly tripled!! I also noticed there aren't as many options available, as well as other sites completely out of stock. What is going on? Are they out of season or something?

Please don't tell me some kind of law came down or something... 8)
 
Well I wasn't looking to discuss the actual price, but more the reason for the price hike. I understand supply and demand, and that supply must be down, but why? What's the problem?

Just curious, and was surprised to see that no one said anything about it yet.
 
This isn't OD material, we don't discuss price and availability of drugs on here.
