whats up with candy kids?

^^ Yeah I'm not into happy hardcore either. I get kind of mad when there is a candykid into dnb..but eh they're at the younger events anyways which I take no part in.

i think alot of it is the careless blissful attitude anybody can achieve from mdma. once you're on it you can just forgot how ridiculous you look with glowing bracelets and candy necklaces.

I don't know if I'm just retardedly sleep-deprived, but every time I read that I can't stop myself from laughing hysterically.

But anyway. I think it's just mostly because...well, they can. One of the things I love about raves is that mo matter how weird you look, there will always be someone else there who looks weirder, and nobody gives a shit. You can dress up in ways that you couldn't get away with in the "real world." You're not limited by practicality. You can express yourself as visually and ridiculously as you want, and I think that's pretty neat.

I'm not even someone who dresses up for raves (mostly because of lack of money and motivation...I just can't bring myself to care enough to put any effort into a "rave outfit"), but I think it's awesome that people do. I mean, if you want to go all out and be ridiculous, what better place to do it? Feel fantastic and look fabulous.

i'm a kandi kid. at afterparties and such when people are just chillin sometimes someone will bring out their beads and start making kandi. i have quite a few peices of kandi including a couple stack bracelets. i usually dont wear as much kandi to work but i have worn all of it before so they gotta know i do E right.

i've seen people with 3D kandi bracelts, like a stack bracelet but in 3 dimensions...i cant imagine how time consuming that would be to make but it looks cool.

I had been to raves and such before.. and noticed the 'candy kids' but it wasnt too 'full on'.

I wasnt really exposed the the culture of it all untill i started going to underground doofs.. they would wear the fat pants, all the 'candy' stuff, glowsticks and there raver names (spike,simba,scooba.. some really weird ones too lol).. but they were minority in this scene.. i was exposed too another culture of 'hippy' types of people.. dreadlocks, very earthy style dress (they were mainly trippers).

But i found it interesting to watch the mix of two different 'sub cultures'.. the candy kids with ecstasy and then the hippys with LSD/Mushrooms. It was the first time i really got an insight into this whole scene.. I think the earthy style has rubbed off on me a bit.. i find it kind of cool, but never a fan of the candy stuff.

it dont bother me, but its cool as fuck to lookat while rollin, especiallt girls with them pacifiers, and glowstix, vix, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm i miss it
