What's up, kind of put off by the censorship and woke ideology here, any suggestions on other forums?

What's good. I joined the forum as it seemed like a place where I could share ideas and stories with likeminded people and caution others against going down some of the roads I've gone down. However, I'm incredibly baffled to log on today and see like 15 things I posted have since been censored. I had one reply to a thread CALLED ''BAD BLACKOUT EXPERIENCE'' where I told what had happened on my worst blackouts and it got deleted because it was ''terrible.'' So I guess this is some kind of fantasy land where it's acceptable to hide the truth in order to protect people from ''terrible'' things or things YOU think are terrible in your subjective opinion. Then I see I had a post on THE DARK SIDE censored because of ''sexist language'' and another for using the word ''tarded'' with R and E prefixed to it. Perhaps whoever censored me is foreign, but in America, that word simply means ''nonsensical.'' It's super ironic to have a place called THE DARK SIDE where you get censored for every little bit of speech you use. Where am I? This feels like a bad dream. Any suggestions for forums that aren't full of ''wokies'' ?
 
It's not woke bro. I've enjoyed your posts. Bluelight is all about free speech and dark/real stuff... as long as it's worded reasonably. Often times mods only have problems with posts that are unduly inflammatory, offensive or otherwise distractory to any core harm reduction topic.

Certain subforums here have certain rules.

You can say whatever you want in The Lounge, other than terroristic threats. The other parts of the site have more rules.
 
I did the "retard" censorship as I found it was out of place and we try to respect other members as we would like to be respected. Sometimes shit gets lost in translation but I am in US... maybe foriegn to most and iirc we stopped using that descriptor long ago... maybe the memo didnt reach the student body idk.
Sorry for your dsicontent with what goes on in the site its not for everyone thats for sure.

Well....when new members blast on to the forum all gung ho with their gangster mentality and post 6 comments right of the bat in the ONE sub forum that we reserve for people in distress....the mods tend to take issue with it.

Reading the bluelight user agreement before posting is usually helpful to avoid those kinds of things. First time posting and almost every single one of your comments was reported to staff. And the ones that weren't reported were also violations when we looked at your posting history.

We don't post dead bodies, we don't insult other members, and we don't censor here unless members can't censor themselves. It's actually pretty easy to be a member here ....have fun , engage with other posters, try and help when you can and if you don't want to help anyone and just want to chit chat and socialize then do no harm as well.

It's not hard at all to be an active member here. Rules are pretty straight forward.

Be nice.
Try and help and if you can't help, don't harm.
Refrain from insulting people.
Don't post graphic photos.
Don't get your panties in a wad when you get a comment deleted.
Don't judge others when we all have our own flaws.
Don't join a new forum thinking we can say what we want, when we want and have no filter.

Basic common courtesy. Basic rules that most forums have. And if that makes us woke well........that's still just your opinion.

like it or not, the rules that govern bl are created and enforced by the bl staff. they are, by their nature subjective. it shouldn't be too hard to get over that?

why should what happens in america be the guideline? bl has staff and members from all over the world and different terms mean different things in different places. if you're not comfortable in an environment where everybody is not from the u.s.a. you may find that bl is genuinely not the place for you.

but seriously, don't get bent out of shape because you're unfamiliar with the zeitgeist of this community and you ran afoul of the rules early on.

stick around, learn what goes and what doesn't. listen and learn. and participate. you may find you you like it...

This is a drug oriented website so inevitably it's going to be a bit left leaning on the political spectrum. Nothing wrong (nor right) about that, its just the physics of the situation (i.e., it just reflects the general type of person who would coalesce as a group around a subject like this, somewhat left leaning yet fairly open minded).

But i don't hear anything in what you're saying that an example of wokism or etc.

“Retard” has been used in the past as a slur against some disabled folks. When posting here, remember that there are people from all kinds of life situations also online here, and some could be very offended by that word.

Also, have you considered 4chan? I haven't the courage to hang out there but edgelords seem to like the place. I oft felt that I'd get in trouble for hanging out there, but one of my mates spent a fair amount of time on the site with encouraging results.
