Heroin whats the term for a shot that sends you into withdrawals?

I had only read about such a thing on this forum until last night around 10 minutes after shooting a shot it sent me into a horrible withdrawal all night, im scared to use, i wanted to shoot more last night to get thru the withdrawl but was scared i'd only make it worse.

im trying to do some research into what may have caused it

improper technique, unsterile conditions, except all im coming up with is "hot shots" and "dirty shots" i cant find the term for when one shot sends you into withdrawal.

You don't know what you were shooting?

Well, Narcan (Naloxone) works on the same receptors but in reverse. I seriously hope you weren't trying to shoot Narcan to get high.

I another could be buprenorphine (suboxone). Doing bupe too close to another opiate will send you into withdrawal.

it could of been cotton fever.

i was shooting just a plain shot of black tar, with single use syringe, fresh cotton, ie: the normal shot, its just the strange one that sent me into wd

i've heard people refer to it as a "dirty shot" or a "bad hit" or something like that "hot hit" maybe needless to say it scared the fuck out of me and i wanted to use more but i didnt want to make it worse, last night was one of the worst nights i've had hands down it started out with a very chilly shake which i found odd, then when i went to lay down i was super cold even under blankets, then the aches and pains started to come along with a headache i knew i was in fullblown withdrawal, it was very unfortunate for me

It sounds like cotton fever aka a dirty hit. A hot shot is a shot that kills you.

i understand that it could've been cotton fever but this was a brand new cotton

^It can still happen from new cotton... Dust or other particulate matter can give a dirty hit. "Cotton fever" is a somewhat misleading term, IMO.
