What's the purest tar heroin could possibly be?

What I mean by that is, for example if you get some of the best, purest tar around, what could be, roughly, the maximum percentage of heroin content? I'm asking that since we all know that tar, due to it's manufacturing process, could never truly be 100% pure, or anywhere near that, and does indeed contain many impurities.

I live in TX so obviously tar is all that's around, albeit some pretty good stuff if you got the connects. However, since that's all there is, I don't have the choice of getting that nice, yummy, obviously more potent powder prevalent on the East Coast, which could be up to 100% (or very close) in purity.
 
EveryStar - glad to see you are still with us. Where have you been since 6/19? You know, you should visit your last Cocaine OD thread, take the time to read poster's responses, and let everyone know you are OK.

When you just move on to the next "thing" without acknowledging the thoughtful and sincere advice that you ask for, and have been given, you leave people with a sense that you have wasted their time, yanked their chain, blown smoke up their ass, etc.

Although I want to believe otherwise, I am starting to think that you are nothing but a TROLL.

Troll, I mean EveryStar, this is one of those questions that no one can give a quantifiable answer to. Rachimim probably has the best guess, but thats just theory. If in theory it can be 80% pure, its irrelevant because you or I will never come across it.
 
I've been inpatient at a hospital for drug abuse since 6/19, I just got out recently. My bad if I didn't acknowledge the advice I was given, but I'm done IVing coke anyway. I don't spend my life on here, dude, I don't really compulsively check all the answers to the posts I make (especially since it's somehow especially hard to check your own posts here on BL, I wish there was a button in the control panel to just see all your messages instead of having to hunt them down by searching the forums by specific user name).
 
Oh yeah and I didn't get the opportunity until just now to check that last thread I made about slamming coke. I didn't die, I didn't go to the ER, I was fine although I was scared for a while because my arm started going numb and shit, but somehow it calmed me down to read this medical article regarding how cocaine-related heart/chest pain can closely mimic a heart attack even though nothing truly life-threatening is actually going on. I just chilled in bed and it went away after a while.

come on guys, he said he was in rehab. A good enough reason for me to not check posts on BL. The last thing i'd wanna do is go on bluelight while in rehab...haha.

If I knew anything about tar heroin, id help ya. I know its not as good as northeast US shit.
 
Your going from coke to h now? Right after rehab? Think twice I'm serious. But anyways my only input to your q is: I've ALWAYS found that brown powder is alot purer than black tar. Plus the shots cleaner, instead of shooting a black oily mess that leaves mud and shit in your spoon your shooting a nice transparent brown liquid that leaves dust in the spoon. And I know it's in Texas, look harder if you want a nice clean shot and a decent high without wrecking your veins.
 
East Coast brown powder is the best (DC Scramble being my favorite, followed by NYC glassine bags).

Tar could be 100% Heroin, depending on what your definition of Heroin is. The only difference between tar and powder is that the Mexican drug cartels who cook the stuff skip a step in the traditional Burmese/Afghan manufacturing methods. The end result for both, black tar and brown or white powder, is Heroin #4. Going from a hazey memory, Heroin #1 is brown Opium scraped off the poppy pods, Heroin #2 is removal of non-Morphine alkaloids from the Opium/water mixture, Heroin #3 is purified Morphine base, Heroin #4 is the result of acetylized Morphine with,usually, acetic anhydride, Diacetylmorphine. The Mexicans go from step 2 to step 4. They collect Opium, add water, acetic anhydride (or another acetylizing agent) and heat, and the end result is still Heroin #4, it just looks like, black tar.

In that sense, the powder Heroin is 'purer' than the tar. However, the tar Heroin is not cut with other inert or active substances for bulk or effect. The tar Heroin you get on the street is the same tar Heroin that was collected at the end of a cook, it hasn't been stepped on. The powder on the street, whether Baltimore Raw or the low grade white powder found in some unfortunate cities, is going to be cut with other substances, lactose mannitol vitamins etc. In that sense, tar is 'purer'.

If you consider 3-MAM, 6-MAM and Morphine as well as acetylized Opiate alkaloids to be Heroin, then tar can be 100% pure. If you are looking for straight Diacetylmorphine only as being Heroin, it will be much lower. This doesn't mean anything though in terms of potency or subjective effect, as a mix of the above chemicals will provide a rush and high with little difference from straight Diacetylmorphine. Theres a lot of factors involved.

Your numbering system is wrong. 1: morphine, 2: heroin base, 3: heroin/caffeine, 4: heroin hcl. The numbering system was created by the feds. Tar doesn't fit into it, but it's heroin hcl so it would technically fit into 4.

I dunno about you, but whenever I cook my tar up it's always a nice transparent light amber color, never muddy dark brown or anything like that...

I've never tried tar, as it is not available in this area. But, I've seen it cook up both ways, dark and amber. From the people I've talked to, it's most commonly amber.
 
I remember when I was watching that one documentary, "Black Tar Heroin: The Dark End of the Street" (about a group of junkies living on the streets of SF in the mid/late-90s), whenever you saw anyone in the film cook up some dope, it was always dark brown, very muddy-looking, almost black, which surprised me, compared to the dope we get down here in Houston, TX, my shots are always a light amber color.

BTW, in SoCal the dope cooks up really dark, almost black depending on your water/dope mix.

OMG,. I saw that same doco, Wasn't it terrible?!
Like the fat woman who had what looked like oil in the rig, and she couldn't find a vein so she IMd it and she got an abcess from hell. Urgghh! And the other junky broke outta hospital with his IV still in place so he could shoot up into his arm veins whenever he needed to. So sad... those ppl (most of em prostitutes from memory) were just so far gone.
Urgghh, man. I've never tried H but that mexican tar i saw in that doco makes me sick...
The obly other bad doco with h i saw was titled Afghan heroin, and this Norwegian guy shoots up like 3mL of black shit and starts nodding off and crying how he isn't what he ever thought his parents wanted... urgghh
