what's the point?

a friend of mine wrote this and could use some positive re-enforcement....
What's the point in writing?
everything's already been said,
with precision i cannot master
what's the point in loving?
you just get lost to reality
want to talk about love?
come back after he's hurt you.
then we can talk about love
What's the point in feeling?
nothing really ever feels okay.
pitter pat of rain withing
myu charred out soul,
and i cannot feel anymore
what's the point in living?
you're just headed for disaster.
there is no point.
i don't think i live anymore
Fuck, i can't even write.
I really like it, well, not the message behind it of course.... what do you guys think?

just knowing people think this way fills me up with a sorrow i can't express.
to reiterate my response to cherub's latest poem...so yes, it may very well be pointless. the more you learn, the more it may seem that way.
but life is art. you are given the supplies...and can do what you want with them. what is the point of aesthetics? many could argue that there is not point, no meaning, etc.......
but what does it matter? we are alive. life is undescribably beautiful. why waste a perfectly good easel?
i am rambling....sorry!
