that is the beauty of the metric system....1 cm cube (cubic centimetre =cc) is then changed to (liquid measurement) 1 ml.

yup, here's another confirmation.
1 cc = 1 cm³ = 1 mL
also, one cubic centimetre or one millilitre of water at standard temperature and pressure has a mass of one gram. (but this will be affected by anything dissolved in the water)
you may, at some point in your life, also need to know that 1 cc = 100 'units'.
