Opioids What's the likelyhood someone would be addicted to opium the first time?

Well I don't know where you live but in North America, and I have to believe most other countries around the world, papaver somniferum is quite illegal in most forms. In Canada and the States for instance you can purchase the seeds so long as you don't intend to grow it but that's all. True you could grow it, or purchase the bulbs for decoration, if you didn't know it was illegal...but I just told you ;) sorry.

No not really, people grow poppy all the time for the poppy seeds in it. There would be a lot more housewives in jail if it were illegal to grow.

2 grams per day?? Is opium really like 10% morphine? I could have sworn it was alot stronger than that even if it wasn't processed(so to speak) correctly.

It can be like 30% morph, it obviously varies just like THC and CBD in weed

Papaver somniferum the opium poppy is illegal in the US and Canada. You are correct that some people do grow them but the fact that these people are not in jail does not mean that it is legal, it is just rarely enforced.
