🌟🌟 Social 🌟🌟 What's the last film you saw? v. Why doesn’t Peter Jackson wear shoes?

Watched Dredd (2012), Ex Machina (2014), then Barb Wire (1996).

Was a fun night. Wanted to get laid but I guess wasn't meant to be tonight. Meh.

Pam Anderson spinning with her tits out and a firehose was dope tho.

The Crow: Wicked Prayer

Doesn't hold a candle to the first movie, despite the interesting cast.

Obsession (2026)

Saw this at the cinema this week. Really good soundtrack, I think that made the film good for me. It was otherwise a blend of “the monkey’s paw” and Fatal Attraction and fairly predictable.

I think it was trying to get something across about bodily consent and the girl being the victim, it did that in some fairly blunt ways. The main character is a classic “nice guy” who doesn’t see the girl who really likes him, just the hot slut girl who becomes possessed. It wasn’t as deep as some people say, in my opinion. But, it was fairly decent for a film from recent years.

6.5/10

Lost half a point because the girl never showed her tits… And how!

My last film was Risa y La Cabina del Viento, a really fantastic film from Argentina ( saw it with subtitles) Funny, moving, profound, great scenery, magic. It was also the last time I saw my old friend Leonard before he died. RIP ♥️
PS I saw it in a theater but I think it's on Netflix.

@S.J.B.
@Cream Gravy?
Inland Empire by Lynch is really good too, maybe you guys have seen it but definitely worth watching - same type of vibes on that one as MD and LH
Yep, I've seen it. It's my least favourite Lynch film. I like postmodern/arthouse film up to a point, but Inland Empire is past it. Too abstract and disjointed for me.

I'd heard it described as the creepiest Lynch film but for me it didn't compare with Mulholland Drive or Lost Highway on that front.

more love for david lynch...

i have a real soft spot for wild at heart. not his best but a fave of mine.

Hmm, I must see that. Haven't seen it. Will put it in my notes to watch.

My uncle's favorite movie of his is Eraser Head - I'll need to watch that a 2nd time to understand more of it. Anyone seen that one?
And his short video called Rabbits is pretty interesting and creepy too.

Yes @S.J.B. I too agree that Mulholland Drive is more creepy than inland empire. In particular, the diner scene, ive never been so shocked watching a movie, ever. And I'm hard to jump scare - I'm pretty sure I at least recoiled. And the amazing thing is that you know it's coming for minutes.

last 2 movies i watched were:

ironclad

pretty good historical drama. lots of battle gore and paul giamatti was great as mad king john.
