🌟🌟 Social 🌟🌟 What's the last film you saw? v. Why doesn’t Peter Jackson wear shoes?

We have a tradition that every year on the same date we sit and re-watch what we affectionally refer to as 'cat racing' but goes by the title of 'Jeffery Bernard is Unwell'*

*Jeff was an alcoholic and for over thirty years his sole employment was his weekly column in The Spectator. Often a courier would pick up the copy from Jeff's regular haunt, The Coach and Horses pub in Soho. But about a third of the time the courier would arrive to find Jeff unconscious sat at his regular table with his typewriter in front of him. In this (regular) event, The Spectator would simply print 'Jeffery Bernard is Unwell' with no apology, hence the title.

So niche - above is the entire play. I dare anyone not to laugh at the cat racing scene.

Manhunter (1986)

Seen it a few times now. Honestly, I think I enjoy it far more than Silence of the Lambs; maybe I'm just in a big 80s loving phase because I've been watching Miami Vice too. Michael Mann films just have so much frickin' attention to detail, I can't nitpick this film one bit. Fantastic music, OST, acting, scenes, just... great film, great films and shows overall.

I'm eagerly awaiting a 4k UHD release of this one someday and in the meantime have got the Region B blu-ray because US copies go for an arm and a leg. Thief and Heat look fantastic.

9/10

Weapons was great. Cregger is one of my favorite new directors. I loved Barbarian, and while neither film is perfect, I see a ton of growth in his new movie. He's really incredible at creating interesting characters who feel authentic.

His next project is yet another film adaption of Resident Evil.
I genuinely can't wait to see what he does with that.

yeah once's up on web buf..
I tried it and couldn't understand what they were sayin' and not one to read subtext. Maybe I can find a link with dual audio....
I am finding Alien Earth somewhat entertaining as it's a slightly different slant to the whole franchise. Personally not much for ET BS including the Alien movies.
