🌟🌟 Social 🌟🌟 What's the last film you saw? v. Why doesn’t Peter Jackson wear shoes?

Inseminoid/Horror Planet (1981)

The absolute WORST Alien ripoff flick I've ever seen. Lazy set pieces, half-assed acting, and a non-sensical plot that makes this hour and a half film drag ass.

1/10

The Dark Side of the Moon (1990)

Much more decent Alien ripoff. Enjoyable for what it is. Special effects and set designs were pretty good for the budget, and the soundtrack was fitting. Better acting and plot by a long shot. Loved Joe Turkel in it, with his signature coke-bottle glasses. Steyr Augs being used as futuristic space guns when they were designed in the 1960s was an odd choice but likely due to the constrained budget, plus they do have a timeless look about them.

No Hard Feelings (2023)

There's a lack of solid brainless comedies these days, probably because comedy writers are paralyzed by PC culture. NHF is a decent film with plenty of laughs and it definitely scratches that 90s itch for me.

The plot doesn't make a lick of sense, but I'm happy to suspend disbelief and ignore the flimsiness of the premise. Sometimes, I just want to sit back and have a laugh.

I generally dislike Jennifer Lawrence, but she's perfectly cast here because the character is unlikeable and she thinks she's super hot... but God damn why does JL always wear so much makeup? I'm pretty sure if I met her in person, I'd be able to see my reflection on her cheekbones.

Matthew Broderick is good, as always. A bit of a departure for him, which is nice to see for a change.

Andrew Barth Feldman is the real star of the show... although I have to admit, I liked seeing JL's bare titties bounce around.

The end of the film is predictable and cringey. The emotional / dramatic part doesn't work at all. I just cannot care about JL's character. The artificial 180 she pulls right at the end of the film doesn't redeem her.

Beverly Hills Cop II. Those were the days when Eddie Murphy was at his absolute best. You guys remember that scene where that fat little fuck of a police chief walks in and Ed suddenly starts talking in this weird french accent, pretending like he wasn't from there? Oh man, what a movie :ROFLMAO:

Eyes wide shut, despite the massive media campaign and success it received back when it came out it never interested me, I thought it was a stupid sex/orgy story. Well I was wrong, quite an unsettling masterpiece which depicts how the powerful and richest elites have fun and live their filthy lives.

And how these elite's use the fun they've all shared in as collateral for blackmailing and destruction of any who dare to reveal the truth of their intentions to enforce their will on those they consider below them.

Eh, I think there’s more to it than that. But a very good film, one of the best. I personally feel it has more to do with the nature of monogamy than anything else.

Watched The Killer- from David Fincher on Netflix as I have 65" TV and with headphones via BT the sound is like in IMAX cinema

Not spoiler following I guess:

I mentioned that cause in this film sound or that deep bass add to a tense scene like fighting and the opposite of the dinamic mode( blue cold color ) on almost any TV is that warm but very tense Fincher style TAN,

I liked it it's not spectacular but It's smart as there are mentionings of substances and one scene reminded me of a friend so I laughed there!

It's deff better rhan M.I. last one considering the money spent making it and hyped up marketing it while quality...well I guess I hope for mainstream to change a bit!
