🌟🌟 Social 🌟🌟 What's the last film you saw? v. Why doesn’t Peter Jackson wear shoes?

Terrifier 2
Sick, creepy, gory as hell, gross-out, goofy, fun horror movie and I loved it. Better than the first film. Great special effects and Art The Clown was just brutal. 9/10 🤡

Watched Salome's Last Dance again last night (8/10). I feel it was a very underrated adaptation, and overall film. Ken Russel is quirky and queer as fuck and I love it. His three Vestron pictures all got kicked to the curb by critics and audiences alike and I cannot fathom why... The Lair of the White Worm was cheesy but even that one was enjoyable. The Rainbow was mad decent. People in the late 1980s just didn't know how good they had it I guess.

Don't watch this film if you're scared of catching the gay :)

Hell behind bars (1984)

Troma presents this Italian women in prison film.

Not too spectacular. Plenty of lesbian action.
2/5 stars

Basic instinct 2

I have the original on laserdisc. Watching this on Amazon prime. It doesn't quite hold up to the original.

I'm definitely more of a fan of the original film.

2/5 stars

Colonel Redl (1985)

Annoyingly dialogue indulgent. If there was a better film about the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, I’d rate it lower.

7/10

Just saw the movie "Nope" it was damn good. Also went back in time to watch "Nothing but Trouble" with Dan Ackroid, this movie is hilarious and forgot all about seeing it when I was a lil squirt..also cool to see Tupac and Digital Underground!

Isn't BL just primarily an LGBTQ community, now? Or, am I ignorant? 😁

...like we know it's full of pricks but what way is the jousting, going, just curious?

Ok, so....

I suppose so? lol

Or maybe we're all just more accepting of LGBTQ folks these days.

Not like we take surveys of everyone's gender on here

Salome's Last Dance is a pretty damn gay film though, just sayin'.

Watched 2 time-loop films, back to back.

Happy Death Day (2017)

There are usually plot holes in time-bending films, but this one made no fucking sense whatsoever. I'm seriously baffled by the acclaim. If you want to watch a Time Loop film, watch Run Lola Run or Palm Springs or Los Cronocrímenes or Groundhog Day or Source Code or Edge of Tomorrow. Russian Doll (the TV show) is better than this and I didn't like Russian Doll.

3/10

Triangle (2009)

This is like a weird mix between The Prestige and Los Cronocrímenes. It's not a perfect film. The acting is a bit hit and miss. There is some stuff that doesn't make sense... but it's sufficiently creepy and dark to keep me distracted. Some good ideas. I got chills a couple of times. Recommended.

I liked all of those. I'm a real sucker for a time loop though. They're some of my favorite Star Trek episodes too lol.

Personally, just always judged "people" ™ as people - just think the id-politics is a political, social 'experiment', in society funneled through nefarious political character/actors whose hobby, is social engineering - not 'a conspiracy' it's just a convenient (glad though there's some positive effects in our society), distraction for politicians to highlight, certain 'protected group interest's to detract from, their nefarious ways - wasn't that always what happened, (from my experience and hearing elders, experience - society was and is always intolerant of that which prevents politicians from gaining too much power, (despite optics, that portray otherwise) ...society is only contingent on political, ideology insofar as we comply. 😉
Politics needs moderation.

Watched some of ' No Sudden Moves ' however too creepy. Managed about 45 minutes.

1922 (2017)

Based on a Stephen King short story.

It's okay. Production is good. Acting is good, but Thomas Jane goes overboard with his performance. Pretty sure he's doing what Marlon Brando did in Godfather. His mouth doesn't move naturally when he speaks. He talks through his teeth. It's distracting. He looks like he's acting. The voice/accent is incredible, but they should've just had him move his mouth normally then dub it... Also the rest of the cast speak normally, which makes him stand out too much.

Most of the story is super predictable. It's basically The Tell Tale Heart, with rats.

In terms of plot, King seems to be re-assembling pieces of his other stories at this point... like some kind of literary jigsaw puzzle. I guess you can only write so many horror stories set in rural America before you start repeating yourself.

5/10 or 6/10
