well it made me laugh when i first heard it cuz it sounded like some mexican wrestler porn star name or something. =D

two part tv miniseries the witches of oz. nice piece, despite the hokey acting and shithouse special effects. i read they are being redone and they're cutting about an hour to release it in theatres.

Faces
the first club i went to in '94 and stayed at for a few years was called Faces, in ATX, i've always wondered why...
;)

amazing, i need to watch this a few times, yes a film about relationships,
but it seemed almost ball-room "planetary" and "astrological" to me for starters...

While I do think it was a great film, I do not understand how it is at #1 on IMDB's top 250 list. I do not think it should even be in the top 10.

fair enough man. recommend me some films :)

About to watch Banksy - Exit through the gift shop at the moment

Doubled agreed
It's one of the few films that can make me shed a few tears out of sheer happiness, not many movies can do that

I watched Daces With Wolves because it was on HBO last night and I couldn't sleep
I'm pretty sure I've only seen it once when I was a kid in school

Super

all about going with the opposite of expectations for the genre. i don't think i liked it. too violent and pointless. but i don't know. i was on the nod. not the soft movie i was looking for.

i do not remember Kick-Ass that well either, but i believe these movies are very similar. ellen page is inferior to little girl from Kick-Ass.

I saw this British indie film called "Submarine" recently which was really great. It's a coming of age story, but is surprisingly hilarious, and manages to pull it off without a corny ending to boot

And the very last film I saw most recently was the Ides of March, with George Clooney, Philip Seymour Hoffmin, and Ryan Gossling, which was pretty decent. I felt as if the main character became corrupt a little to quickly, but it still had a cool concept.

i finally got to the new imax in hefei. nice, high quality theatre, but then i'd expect nothing less for the whopping 100 yuan ticket to get in. i missed the tintin run (and hope it's still showing in sydney next month) so i caught the first day of mission impossible 4. excellent and creative thrills, which i was expecting from brad bird.

funny note of the day, the film was slightly censored. a few phrases, the voices got chopped and PLAYED BACKWARDS. i couldn't read the chinese subtitles, but listening to the english got funny on about 6-7 small points, half of which were in that last conversation. "yes i was a *backwards devil talk*, that's why i had to *backwards devil talk*. i'm nowmlooking forward to watching it uncut to see what was said which upset the chinese. i'm pretty sure the first one was simply the phrase "cuban missile crisis", from a line something like "American and Russian relations haven't been this tense since *backwards devil talk* =D

^Lol I find it funny what they censor here in China and what they don't censor. I was staying in a hotel in Shenzhen a couple weeks ago and turned on the Chinese excuse for HBO.

Some movie came up at 1:00 AM I don't remember the name or even what it was about as it really wasn't worth remembering. But anyway I was about halfway in bored out of my mind. And there is this part where a male character is yelling at his girlfriend or whatever and the line went "You let him get away you stupid *weird silence* CUNT!!!" Immediately I was like HUH?!?!?!

They censor the word fucking but not the word cunt? I almost fell out of my chair I was laughing so hard at this censorship fail. :)

Not really known that one but surprisingly good!

Sucker Punch

i like long-haired, nice, pretty neighborhood girl (sometimes with a skag problem) jena malone much more than short-haired, edgy, punk-rock jena malone.

other than that, best movie i've seen in the last decade.

Due Date

goes with the same formula as Anger Management. or before that, The Cable Guy. i'm sure that has a predecessor as well. anyway, Due Date is at least as stupid as you'd expect. i'm housesitting, and there are no netflix ready devices present. so i'm limited to movie channels.

i've already put my beer down, but my ring seems stuck... hang on... '

... fkn thing... hey just wait one sec please. ...

.... dammit... fuckin thing...

oh wait on, i'm not wearing a ring. ..

come at me, around me, all over me, bro.
