Whats the greatest myths you've heard 4 drugs?

The pup named scooby-doo episode didn't have propagana-ish telling of the story, except for grossing out scooby whenver they mentioned "drugs"...they didin't even specify what the drugs were...but the gang busted a drug-smugging ring...which was cool in tis own right.
 
Heh, all of my interactions with "drug dealers" are exactly like in the show.
 
I think there was a thread like this before, but here are a few good ones i've heard over the years:

oxycontin is homemade heroin.

ketamine is an opiate.

Taking LSD or MDMA messes up your DNA and will make you have deformed children. (btw my high school health teacher told the whole class this one).

if you IV and you get one air bubble in your vein YOU WILL DIE. My college biology teacher said this and the dude was really cool and a doctor. I wanted to correct him but i didn't want to say to the whole class "well actually i've injected quite a few air bubbles into my vein..." However he did mention that taking MDMA once isn't that bad for you which is awesome to tell an entire class of college students. So he gets free pass on the whole IV'ing air bubbles thing.


AND another one that bugs the shit out of me that my health teacher would always bring up that "weed is often laced with all sorts of different stuff".

and the whole "you'll think you can fly on pcp or lsd" and whoever tells this story always seems to know someone who knew someone who jumped out a window.

what a bunch of misinformed idiots.
 
it's funny that so many other people have to put up with that speed based, heroin based, coke based pills myth. i have a good friend who is much more into rolls than me, but I still can't convince him that ecstasy is ideally just a single drug, mdma, but pills are often cut (but not with heroin or coke). he won't even believe that mdma is just one substance. jesus christ man, you should know what you're taking. drives me fucking crazy.

and
people have and will fall/jump out windows, off balconies, roofs, etc. when they're tripping. doesn't even take a drug as hard as lsd or shrooms. a girl from the same university as me went off the balcony over spring break, just a mile or two from where my friends and i were staying. i have a friend who won't eat shrooms any more because some guy she was friends with jumped out his dorm window on 'em. not saying it's something that's likely to happen with responsible use, or likely to happen at all, but it does happen. and is there even such a thing as responsible use of lsd? if there is, i want no part in it.

oh and i met a kid who won't try acid... because if you do lsd even once, you can never be a pilot.
 
man i have heard sOOO many it boogles the mind! A few i can think of off the top of my head: If you eat pot seeds it will make you sterile (likewise smoking male plants will make you sterile) - NO evidence to this fact at all! hilarious!, let's see another one would be: The guy someone always knows who shot up acid and went crazy (although anyone wanted to shoot LSD instead of just eating it is pretyy crazy anyways). mostly a suburban myth! Some true things though, cocaine and heroin and K have definitely been found in pills being sold as MDMA or ecstacy, this I have seen in many reliable sources over the years. Well that's my 28 cents.
 
-people lace marijuana with cocaine, heroin, pcp, and lsd on a regular basis to get you hooked.
-marijuana will make you get your fist stuck in your hand or make you melt into a sofa.
-the laws regarding marijuana aren't that harsh
-all drugs are bad.
 
Acid will make you hack up your entire family or commit suicide.

I know a guy who died because his weed was laced with formaldehyde

If you snort cocaine your nasal cavity will completely disintegrate

Alcohol is relatively safe. It's easier to overdose or get addicted to any illegal drug than alcohol.

Weed makes you dumber.

Ecstasy is always meth, which will probably kill you. If you don't drink water at raves, you will die. Ecstasy causes holes in the brain

Weed is just as harmful as cigarettes

90% of meth labs explode

Using any drug, including weed, will render you unfit to interact with people
 
Trip on LSD 7 times and you are legally insane.

Peyote makes you trip for days.

Ecstasy burns holes in your brain.

I've heard so many over the years, I really can't recall them all.

#1-Crack-smoke it once and youre an addict for life. (actually all I was was slightly high and pissed off for no reason).

#2-Doing coke guarantees great sex

#3-So-and-So bought some weed and it was laced with PCP.
Seriously, who would lace weed with pcp and then not even tell you it was laced? You'd think they would charge extra for it or something, as opposed to keeping it a secret.
