Whats the greatest myths you've heard 4 drugs?

Pot - You can get a dog high by blowing smoke into its ears.

LSD - Cracking your knuckles or your back, WELL after you are done tripping will cause some of the acid left in your joints to be released and you will start tripping again. Some people I know actually have done this in front of me and "acted" like they were tripping.
 
I know a lot of people who use mushrooms, and are absolutely ok with it. But then they treat LSD like a much "harder" drug that shouldn't be tried, and ridicule people who do. These tend to be the same people who think that synthetic drugs are inherently more dangerous than "natural" drugs.

LSD and psilocybin aren't the same drug, but they're both in the tryptamine family and have a similar risk level. For me, LSD is easier to cope on.
 
The visuals you see on acid are what is actually happening to your brain.

I had to slap the shit out of my friend for that.

Also in regards to the acid vs mushrooms argument, I have a shit load of friends who say that too...uh yeah ok stoners, synthetic vs natural is the same damn thing minus other active things found along with the natural shrooms!
 
1. People often cut heroin with jelly crystals, so people shoot up in their arm and all this jelly forms inside.

^^ a boy actually said that when I was doing a formal debate against him back in high school, and their team WON!

2. With ecstasy pills, one half of it is speed, and the other half is smack. And it's really dangerous to take just half a pill instead of a whole, because then you can have too much speed or too much heroin and overdose. You need both halves to balance each other out.

3. Yeah i heard of this guy who took acid and thought that a giant orange was coming to catch him, so he jumped off a bridge. Oh yeah and this other guy on acid thought his arm was a banana, and started peeling all his flesh off.

I wonder if he was alluding to IV users of OxyContin or other ER pills doing serious cardiopulmonary damage to themselves because of talc and other binders and fillers. If so, he could have argued the facts rather than trying to create yet another urban legend.

-exctasy pills is a mixture of a little bit of all the drugs: speed, heroin, coke, etc.

-hoffman lsd blotters & all the rest lsd blooters are different kinds of drugs.

-hoffman 1943 lsd blotters are a combination of lsd & mdma

-lsd blotters contain speed

-lsd is made of mushrooms

-xanax is opium based

-methadone lased hash

-weed laced with lsd\smoking lsd, god damn theyre so stupid!

-mescaline blotters

-if you don't change the bong's water after 10+ bowles of weed, you can smoke tobacco through it & get high

My mate started going on about knowing someone who thought he was a glass of orange juice. I honestly didnt think he was that dumb but he certainly proved me wrong.

I just remembered a new one. That you can get speed on blotter, but just speed no acid on them...I think the guy just wanted to sound cool.

In one way, this could be considered technically true. Lysergic acid, also known as D-lysergic acid and (+)-lysergic acid, is a precursor for a wide range of ergoline alkaloids that are produced by the ergot fungus and some plants.
 
One of my friends yesterday said that methamphetamine is just like acid and is made from acid. Wha?

^That's exactly what the people here think. Speed based, opiate based, or mescaline based. I don't even bother trying to correct them anymore. They've all been using drugs many times longer than me, yet I have infinitely more knowledge about drugs than them. They never listen to what I have to say, so I don't bother trying to correct them anymore. X burns holes in your brain, acid burns holes in your brain, shrooms burn holes in your brain, acid stays in your spine, X is speed, opiate, or mescaline based (whatever the fuck "based" even means), molly is shitty and just makes you happy (apparently they actually WANT cut MDMA), heroin is worse than OC, a standard hit of acid is 500 ug. Sigh. It seems like every other day my head almost explodes from the amount of bullshit these people spew.
 
I know quite a few people, in their twenties that I would consider to be well educated, that still believe the "LSD: bleed out your brain down your spine" myth that I first heard in 2nd grade of grammar school. Absolutely ridiculous that so much negative stigma is attached to such a safe and wonderful drug.
