What's the go with doxylamine succinate?

So, what is the go with this substance, doxylamine succinate (Dozile, Restavit, etc.). I have used it successfully in a mix with IV heroin, but is it simply useless ass a sleep aid? I took 2 tablets orally earlier, then IV'd 12.5mg, without much effect, if any at all. And I know it's not classed as one of the anti histamines that give a rush when IV'd so I wasn't expecting much.

I just took a further 4 25mg tablets, so I'll see how I go. I just want to sleep this misery away.

Not to sure about your situation, but for me tollerance builds up massively on antihistamines.

I can only use them occasionally with success.

Holy crap, that's a lot of doxylamine!

Obviously the effect is has on people varies massively, because I find it knocks me out consistently in not especially high doses. My body must be a super processor of doxylamine or something, because 25mg puts me down and keeps me down. Even 15mg has me fighting to stay awake.

It also makes me feel like a shell of a human for most of the following day. It's like paint stripper for emotions - leaves me completely blank. In fact, I hate the zombification effect it has on me about as much as I hate being deprived of sleep, so it can be a tough choice sometimes.

I can keep going along fairly normally after 8mg etizolam, or 4mg of clonazepam, or a dozen beers - but 25mg of doxylamine and very soon all I want to do is lie down and sleep. It's like it sucks all interest and emotions out of me so there's nothing else to do but go to sleep. Very crude effects from this substance, IMO.

I guess tolerance plays a big role too, as the good Captain said above. I very rarely take it because as I said I don't like it's after-effects.

Most of us use doxylamine / benadryl etc etc to potentiate opiates mainly codeine. It adds sedation to the high but when combined with stronger opiates it isnt all that great. I have had a lot of sleeping issues in the past. I mentioned this in the other thread already, try to sleep the same amount of hours and going to bed and waking at the same time preferably.

Exercising helps so much with insomnia, itll do wonders for you. You can also supplement with glutamine, I took 5-10grams before bed and it virtually knocks me out and sometimes I even start dreaming whilst asleep which is rare for me. If all fails then benzos or seroquel although id use CWE codeine personally for WD's annd a beautiful sleep. Would work nicely although i wouldnt use them long term, you want to be able to sleep properly without the aid of medications. Shooting these sort of meds are pointless really. Hope you resolve your sleeping issues man

I'm gonna stick with diphenhydramine or promethazine for IV opiate potentiation, and forget this doxylamine garbage for a sleep aid at least. It works well when combined with heroin in a mix for IV administration. Just make sure you micron filter the pills (I use some generic tablet that mixes up easily, can't find the box right this minute..)

Thanks guys. Sustanon: exercise is definitely I plan on implementing into my daily routine soon, I'm seriously considering kicking the smack indefinitely. Like at least 3 months.

I personally use doxy to potentiate codeine (also helps with the itches), but as a sleep aid I find it useless. At one point I was taking 125mg of doxy to get to sleep and still had no luck. I suppose that can come down to good old tolerance

After 25mg I get a sedation which is basically uncomfortable to fight. If I don't go to sleep quick, I just feel really irritable and lose all interest in everything. As I said, for me it's a big sleep hammer but with a big price to pay - feeling inhuman for a whole day afterwards.

Yeah 125mg is pretty damn high, but once tolerance builds I have needed that much to sleep. Although once it gets up at those dosages you get the weird delirium side effects. Kind of like crap tripping.

I've been taking it most nights of the week recently because my insomnia is reaching pretty epic proportions. Last night I took 50mg on top of 15mg zolpliclone. Woke up about 3 hours later sweating. Don't know if it was a side effect or due to my room getting hot and sleeping under two blankets.

Wish I could just take one sleeping aide to sleep, be much safer. But fucking doctors are only giving me 10 zopliclone at a time so I have to space them out until I can get to the doctor a week later. Generally need 2 just to sleep for 2-3 hours. sucks

i find doziel gel caps to work quite well when im out of benzos and need to get to sleep.i like to take 4 25mg caps as that just knocks me out cold rather than really having to focus on sleeping like when i take 50mg.never really thought of injecting it and dosnt really appeal to me.tolly does build up very fast.after using it for 1 night and i dose the next day i def feel its alot less stronger

I have been using doxylamine to potentiate successfully low doses of buprenorphine (> 4mg) the last couple of days. Gonna try a quick taper with the 6mg of Suboxone that I have. Had like 6mg yesterday, 2mg this morning IV with 12.5mg doxylamine succinate. Seems to work better than promethazine, but perhaps not as effective as diphenhydramine. Speaking of which, why do no pharmacies have stock of the Unisom Sleep Gels anymore? They're not ALL lying to me!
