Ok so i know ALL about the dangers, and how they are both CNS depressents, the risk of not breathing, how they potentiate each other, everything. so save it. i mix xanax & morphine all the time from 5mg of xanax to 90mg of morphine. currently right now. i dont have much a tolerance for either and only weigh 130 pounds. but everyone here & other sites seem to make it seem as a death wish & you're stupid as hell if you do it. if you know what you are doing what is the honest problem with it? i know several people who are prescribed oxy and klonopin & so forth. why does everyone overreact to it? i'm fine & completely coherreant.

The problem is, they potentiate each other. If you are extremely smart with the combination, you very likely will not experience problems. The problem is, the VAST majority of drug users are NOT smart people...and on top of that...people who are NOT intelligent almost always vastly overestimate their own intelligence, willpower, etc. And, just because you've done something correctly once, twice or 40 times doesn't mean that you'll do it correctly the 41st time. If you are a TRULY smart individual who is extremely careful with your doses, then you most likely will run into no problems with this...the problem is, like I said, maybe .5% of drug users are in this category, yet 50% of drug users THINK they are in this category.

Also, as I haven't personally done much research on benzo's and opiates (since I personally never mix anything with my opiates), I'm pretty sure there's a chance of sudden death, regardless of tolerance or doses. Just because you haven't died YET doesn't mean you NEVER will. Basically, just don't do it.

Re-read every post in this thread. And you answered your own question in your post. They potentiate each other, increase respiratory depression, and have a very high tendency to induce death. Just because it hasn't happened to you yet, doesn't mean it won't, and it has certainly happened to many people in the past.

Closing thread.
