I have stopped taking it, but when I took even doses of 20 mg my hr would be around 140 with just minimal walking etc... I would also drink coffee at the same time. This used to freak me out, so I quit. I generally also suffer from anxiety, so that could be part of the problem. I would obsessively check my hr at machines at Walgreens etc..

A typical resting heart rate on Adderall is between 80-85 beats per minute, even with something as simple as walking, it really shouldn't exceed 100 bpm. But it isn't uncommon to have a high heart rate on it. It could also be coming from the coffee, as nicotine is a stimulant which in turn also increases the heart rate.

Were you experiencing any symptoms? Heart palpitations, shortness of breath or anything? Those signs are what you should be worried about. If not, I'd check to be sure you don't have an underlying condition. There usually isn't anything to be worried about unless you experience anxiety or any other symptom from Adderall.

Also, how long were you taking it? Over time, the body adjusts to the stimulant and you get used to a faster than normal heart rate, and it usually levels out to a safe number. It remains high for someone who isn't use to stimulants.
