what's nodding?

I thought I was oding first time I took 5mg Oxycodone IR as I chewed it. I was going in & out of consciousness. I had a very low tolerance when I begun & didnt like the feeling of laying there nodding out if you will. Now when it happenes, I dont mind it at all.
 
Even when I was IVing dope, personally I wouldn't start nodding out til quite some time after the shot. Definitely longer than 1-5 minutes. Although when mixing with benzos and weed the nod definitely comes on much much faster. But for me, even shooting a large ass shot of dope, it almost stimulates me in a way for a few minutes then fades into nod land like 30 minutes to an hour later.
 
I agree with most of what's said above...most of them have much more experience with opiates than I do, but I do love a good nod every so often as well :) Basically it's been described already, but I'm with Tommyboy and some of the others who take things intranasally --- it takes a good 15 minutes or so for me to even feel it, the nod doesn't come for about another 15. If I manage to eat enough opiates to nod without vomiting, it can take like an hour for any type of nod....and plugged? maybe about half an hour. These are just my experiences though, and I've snorted/eaten/plugged opiates but no IV other than when in the hospital.
 
hahhahahhah!! what a funny question. i think you pretty much already know what it means, youre just like feeling semi-unconcious while youre in a deep euphoria. cmon man get with the flow!! and yes, oxy's will also give you a good nod, and whats better about prescriptions like oxy is that it is a cleaner more processed drug. heroin on the streets, you cant really be sure what youre getting. but heroin on the streets is a cheaper way to get high than oxy and most prescriptions, and its just as good.
 
Nodding is the transition between a semi-lucid state to a more lucid state with intense feelings of contentment, and euphoria. It has a very dream-like quality to it. Very pleasurable. The best way I can describe the feeling is like being in the womb without a single care, just there, feeling warm and cozy. It is so comforting, it is extraordinary.

you gotta death wish :) why would u wanna take 500mlof methadone which isn't even a euphoric opiod . All yor doing is fukin up your receptors .

Nodding never comes right away for me, the sedation always takes a while after the initial rush is gone and you start coming down, that's when you nod :)
