Would like to know if anyone knows lol
I feel Coke would stress the heart for longer then Crack due to its longer effect. Any truth to this?

Seeing as how they're the same drug (cocaine) and all, I think that it would be different for everyone, like because of unique body chemistry and depending on how the person is using each drug, it'd be more a patient by patient, case by case basis. Consider how different people's tolerances are, not even like two different people, but one person in different environments than their usual "getting-high-place" or otherwise stepping outside of their comfort zone can have radical effects on the outcome of the drugs effects.

The cocaine HCl may inhale larger lines to compensate for desired effect, or injected for that notorious soul-destroying bell-ringer.

Then there are the smokers of the freebase 'caine, who tend to compensate by packing bigger rocks, or purifying their product, or inhaling the vapor deeper into the lungs, holding the hit, etc. There are even people who prefer to inject CRACK cocaine in an acidic solution (...ouch!) because the quality of cocaine HCl in their area is so bad..... So every one is different; we can't make sweeping generalizations here.

You asked which drug is "harder on the heart", which is a pretty vague question and is like comparing cocaine with cocaine.

There are a lot of variables in play. Potency of the product, ROA, how long ones been using, dose, etc.

It's not a question that can be answered so simply as to just say one is harder on the heart than the other.

I'd say of equal purity product with equal doses that crack would be harder on the heart than a line of sniffed cocaine.

Iv cocaine and smoked crack should be equally hard on the heart.

Iv crack should be the same as iv cocaine. If you add the right amount of acid the solution should not be acidic as the freebase and the acid form a salt and water. The salt in this case should be cocaine citrate if citric acid is used.

But yes it is very hard to make a generalisation as so many variables come into play.

If you are smoking crack, the dosage you are ingesting will always be quite high and fast...

So I would say crack...

Crack is more dense in terms of potency as it is not in a salted form like powdered cocaine. It also goes though heating. Which does break some of it down to other tropanes, some deemed more toxic.

crack is absorbed in the lungs faster than coke is absorbed in the nasal cavities. IV coke is a different story. I'll say it's a bit more dangerous than crack at times, because you can control smoking whereas injecting coke involves pushing the plunger down, unless you're taking mini shots every minute, but that's pretty dangerous itself and you can't really take half a shot, since blood coagulates in the syringe, deeming it unsafe and unusable, but when it comes to IVing, you can shoot crack mixed with an acid or coke by itself, which has the same amount of harm as tryptamite stated.

I think it all depends on what type of product you have to begin with. If it's shitty coke, or cut to high heaven, then it's prob not going to do too much damage. If you had pure coke, which almost no one does, then I would say it would do the most damage. Since crack is a form of coke that has been cut, cooked and sliced up I would think that the crack would not be as damaging.

curiously in some areas crack is *more* pure than powder cocaine, because when you "manufacture" crack from cocaine and baking soda, essentially only alkaloids like cocaine end up in the final product cuts like salts, sugars, baby poder etc are effectively removed.

i seem to recall that out of all the methods of administration smoked crack rpoduceds the most rapid rise in blood concentrations, followed by IV... both are absorbed faster than snorted cocaine.

I would say smoked crack is more harmful because it produces a more rapid change in e.g. heart rate and blood pressure when compared to snorted cocaine. Don't get me wrong, both are pretty strong cardiovascular stressors though.

there are definitely a lot of variables at play though.
