I'll record it, and fast forward through the ads. Unless theres some sexy girls in one of them. I agree Fuck adverts. A shutter comes down over my mind when they come on. They are so moronic, so lame. "a car isnt just a car ! it says something about you !" Oh fuck off ! A car is just a car.

In Australia on their commercial TV they get adverts about every 5 minutes. It really is unbearable. Id never watch anything live, and would have to record everything and watch it with the FF remote to hand.

It'll be better quality on TV. Pirated things nearly always loose something / a lot of the quality of HD.

well on my new computer that currently doesnt work it has a hdmi connection to connect it straight to the TV, doing that the quality is fine. But my older pc doesnt have that connection so i have to burn the downloads to dvd. The sharpness is then made crap on a 40 inch screen and the full HD 5.1 sound doesnt work properly either. So you're right, if you have the right equipment quality neednt be compromised, but i currently dont (have it working).

I should download stuff instead of buying, woulda saved myself a fuck load of money

Downloads all the way. My TV is 38 or 40, cant remember but it takes a USB pen in the side anyway. Even a 300mb file not in hi def loses very little. a 1.3g one has marginally better video. Both can be watched on my lappy or via my USB pen on the telly. It has no faffing about either way.

Audio is never as good as it could be but it's more than adequate for my needs and I fucking hate 5.1 in a smallish front room anyway. 5.1 pisses me off generally, even when I've heard it while watching movies via a projector in a large room, which we do occasionally when we can be bothered to set it all up

I think I worked it out once and I need a 4.1 to fit my preference, and I cant be bothered (to get nerdboy) to try to fuck about with sorting that either, if it could actually be done.

ive got so many dvds and shit stacked up, not worth posting, hardly ever do car boot sales so they just sit here. in a way i do like to physically have them though, like cds ive got and stuff. but mainly my music is downloaded

ive got about 60 GB of downloaded music for listening to at home and loading onto portable mp3 players. I kind of went straight from vinyl to downloads, and missed out CDs inbetween. Despite not wanting to accumulate a CD collection I have ammassed a good shelf full. And a box full of music burnt to CD for car listening. Theres little point dishing out dosh for music anymore as its mostly so easy to get on you tube. I like to support the new up and coming bands by buying their CDs though and getting my all time favourite albums on CD for listening to in my car at the very best quality. Also get obscure albums on CD.

I've hardly bought any CDs in the past 15 years or so. I was downloading music before Napster. It's hard to justify paying for music when it's actually easier to get it for free. I don't even really feel bad about stealing music, I support people I like by going to see them live whenever possible. Plus I probably wouldn't even have heard half of the stuff I'm into if I wasn't able to get a hold of it without paying first.

i used to download music from kazaa and morpheus or whatever it was called, p2p sharing

those p2p sites can open your pc to viruses and hackers. Some of them just seem to mess up the Operating System. I used Morpheus for everything when i had a windows ME pc, but it didnt half fuck that up. I then used Azerus vuze, but it doesnt work anymore. The latest one ive found is Torch, only used it for getting The Walking Dead so far, but im gonna start hunting for new audio books on it.

D/L vs buying vs watching on tellybox stuffs... d/l all the way. Don't have television so can't watch live, would pretty much never buy anything to watch cos I very rarely watch more than once. I don't see it as theft cos I'd never be paying for it anyway. If there was some techy thing that meant that d/l didn't work then I'd just not watch stuff and wouldn't feel I was missing out. D/L does work though so I do.

Just watched first episode of that BBC Peaky Blinders thingy. Was a bit dubious cos don't usually like BBC dramas but is looking pretty good. Accents are hilarious too which is a bonus. May well get bored of it rather quickly but is nice to see the Beeb having a crack at the HBO-stylee series and not being too far off. Certainly looks nice and I do like that Oirish geezer from 28 Days Later so gave it a go.

Just watched this week's Sons of Anarchy.

Not watched any of latest season yet but must admit I became rather enamoured of it watching the first five seasons. It's definitely pretty bad... but inna gooooooooood way %)

Mark is a legend.

Why yes, yes he is. Am waiting for the extended version though.
