Harm Reduction What's a safe amount of peppermint oil? (question related to opioids)

Yes. They sell you the prescription and the drug. I wasn't talking about them. I get my dhc with a prescription sold after a consultation online for example.

I have never seen diazepam sold online legally in the UK. Not even tramadol can be sold online legally. They are more controlled substances and they wouldn't prescribe them with an online consultation. It's interesting that you got it from a legit pharmacy 😁. Lucky you.
Unless you supplied your own prescription from a GP or private doctor then it's perfectly legal.

It was only codeine or dihydrocodeine and z drugs.
They have this idea here that tramadol is stronger so they banned its sale online with online prescriptions a while ago.
Some anti depressants could be obtained like that and pregabalin/gabapentin. They made the last two controlled substances recently and so they couldn't be prescribed online anymore. I got Modafinil prescribed easily as well for my shift work disorder.

Now they have changed the rules from August and you cannot be prescribed any of that online anymore without your GP knowing. Most places have scrapped the sale of them completely now. There is only one place that still prescribes codeine or dhc and stuff like zopiclone with a prescription bought online. They require your consent to contact your gp now. I think soon they will stop selling them altogether.

Codeine linctus and this morphine stuff don’t require a prescription. They’re pharmacy medicines. They can be bought legally without a prescription online easily and theoretically fron any pharmacy anywhere in the UK that is willing to sell them to you. It's at their discretion and they can decide they will sell them only if you show a prescription. Not because it's a legal requirement but because that's their policy.

The big UK pharmacy chain won't sell them to you in person without a prescription for example. It's their policy. Not a legal requirement. That was my point.
I hope I have clarified the matter.

Every doctor I've met (wrong) thinks that Ccodeine and Dihydrocodeine are the same strength and Tramadol is stronger. In reality, Codeine and Tramadol are the same strength (1/10th the strength of oral Morphine) and Dihydrocodeine is 2-2.5 times stronger (1/5th to 1/4th the strength of oral Morphine).
The NICE guidelines fucked up on that one.

Nothing containing morphine is OTC here in the UK. What you got either doesn't contain morphine or is NOT OTC. Cough syrup would never contain morphine anyway.

Yes it is. Ever heard of kaolin and morphine? Also, J Collis Brown as mentioned. However, the amount of morphine in a bottle is negligible and necessitates consuming a lot of undesirable additives - hence the OPs question.

Following your post where you said that you were able to purchase diazepam from a legitimate pharmacy with an online prescription I found out there was indeed one (I have used it too but not for Valium) selling Diazepam and Lorazepam with a prescription issued after an online consultation. It baffled me as benzos are controlled drugs and certainly as addictive as Pregabalin or Gabapentin could be and should be prescribed only by a GP in person. Apparently they sold it for anxiety.
Your post was very interesting to me for that reason!

That is exactly my experience of the 3 drugs as well. Codeine and Tramadol are weaker than DHC for me too.

I still have my J Collis Browne here. Haven't drunk it yet. I am drinking the Codeine Linctus for now.

Yeah, that was basically it. I just told them I'd lost my job and was very stressed/anxious about money etc.
Benzo's are way more addictive than Gabapentin or Pregabalin. Are Gabapentinoids controlled substances, too?

Regarding the opiates, that's why I find it so weird that Tramadol is a controlled substance and DHC isn't since DHC is more than twice as strong.

Have you tried the J Collis Browne before? That much oil for that little morphine does not sound worth it. I'm thinking you'll vomit from the oil before you get a buzz from the morphine.

Gabapentin and Pregabalin are controlled meds now since April this year. Banned from online sale for that reason now. https://www.cqc.org.uk/guidance-providers/adult-social-care/controlled-drugs-pregabalin-gabapentin

Sorry about the double post. No, I haven't tried it before. I have drunk only the Kaolin and morphine one before. That is different because the kaolin, basically clay, just deposits at the bottom of the bottle if you let it sit for a few days so you can drink just the top layer with the morphine. These cough syrups all taste bad to me but it didn't make me sick or anything.
Yeah, it didn't do much as far as getting a buzz but my primary aim back then was just to avoid withdrawal.
I have some codeine 30mg pills coming tomorrow until I can get a new prescription of DHC so I might be able to avoid drinking the J Collis Browne for now. Had to really scour the internet to find another place prescribing codeine pills online without too much hassle.
I don't buy from dodgy sites or dealers so my options are limited.

Sorry to post once again.

I just wanted to update since I ingested the whole bottle a few days ago. Had no ill effects. It tasted minty but all in all it didn't taste too bad; I had no nausea or bad effects. It was just 100ml so it went down pretty quick.
