whats a good amount?

Here's the deal, I have a few 100mg morphine pills. I normally take loritabs and norco's and such..but never have I taken morphine. I had morphine sulfate liquid once but not enough to feel. So what I want to know is what would be a good starting dose, I don't want to do too much and feel sick for the next few days ...I've done that with oxy's before. So if there is anybody who could help me that would be great. I did a search here and didn't find anything I could use. And I would just like to add that this forum is run well. I like the others but there always seems to be somebody bitch'n about somthing or about how things aren't going the way they want them too...Props to the Other Drugs team...

From what I hear morphine is pretty ineffective orally so you'd probably be better off sniffing it. I'd start with a quarter or so, I'd sniff about half of a quarter (25mg) to see how I am and then go on from there. I've never done it so don't trust me on this but it should be weaker that oxy and most people could handle half a 25mg which is about 12.5mg, that isn't a lot at all so i'd say start from there. Remember that 10% of codeine is converted to morphine so if 90mg of codeine get you buzzed then 9mg of morphine should give the same results. If nothing works send it over to me and I'll do my best to let you know what works best.
 
sure thing :) coming right over...But I have heard that morphine is less effective than Oxycodone. So you think a forth snorted would be a good starting point...I guess when taken orally not much gets taken in....but I remember a few years ago..before I took very much of anything a daulada(sp?) put me deep in the couch..That methedon?or morphine?

I think your reffering to dilaudid. If it's time release, scratch off the coating because it's all wax and if your snorting you wouldn't want it up your nose. I would just start with about half of a fourth in a small line then after a few minutes see how you feel and go from there. How much oxy did you need for a nice buzz?
 
it all depends on what you have...if it is that ora-morph stuff then snorting will kinda be wasting it

well i guess you could say that ..We do our share of other pharmies...just not any morphine. I think we are going to go with a 1/4 and take it from there....thanks for the help..
 
I've never had morphine either. Once my boyfriend broke his jaw and while he was in the hospital they hooked him up to a morphine IV. Whenever the nurse wasn't looking, he would take the little clamp off the cord and squeeze the bag to make the it go into his veins faster. The nurse couldn't figure out why he was going through it so fast. He ended up running up a 25 thousand dollar doctors bill in 1 week, mostly from all the morphine he used!

Gee, why does this story sound like complete, utter bullshit?
Oh, is it because you can either have morhpine delivered via PCA machine (patient controlled analgesia) where you can hit a button to get a dose when needed but there is control to prevent getting over a certain amount per hour, or the fact that every single hospital I've ever been in uses those little mechanical pumps to control the delivery of fluids? Huh... so, you're now telling me, he was able to yank his IV cord out of the mechanical pump (they have alarms on them) and then up his dose? What?

ok...so I went ahead and took 50mg oral. And I felt good most of the night..(10pm when I took it) but when I wanted to sleep I couldn't ....had the itchies way too bad...So I got to sleep around 5:30am but had to work at 8:30...Needless to say I didn't make it in. I guess morphine dries you out badly because I couldn't eat or drink anything without throwing up.. I threw up from time to time till around 4:30pm.... But now I am fine and well hydrated..thanks to water and saltines...but is this what morphine does..? I don't remember this from my dalatid (sp?)experence....maybe it wasn't morphine?...

Well, sorry if you don't believe me, but that's what my boyfriend told me and he doesn't generally lie about those things. Don't ask me HOW he did it, but apprently he did.

my cousin had is apendex(sp?) out and had a morphine drip...he had the button but it would only give so much per hour or what not..didn't seem to matter though...one beep and he was gone..I mean out of sorts gone...
 
I actually had a few of those myself this weekend . Are they a greyish-blue ? Do they say 100mg on one side ? Then they are mscontins ... In any case , don't crush them up and snort them , the pills binders are really waxy and shit and it just wont work out too well ... It will absorb in your stomach infinitely better . Take a half a pill unless your totally opiate naive . Take more when needed but be aware it lasts for a really long time .
A few times over this weekend i would crush up a half or whatever and put it in toilet paper (parachute) and it seemed to hit me a lot harder .
I know what you mean about morph dehydrating you though , in the mornings i would puke if i tried to drink anything . Wasted some like this too , took a half and puked it right back up .......
I also kept waking up with a splitting migraine . Like bad ..... I used to get it everytime i did these (i used to do the orange 60mg ones) just wondering if anyone else gets a headache from this shit or is it just me .. .
The headache is only in the morning too ...
 
yeah i threw up bad the next morning..I take alot of lori's and every now and then a perc or somthing...whatever I get my fingers on(grrr)..But the high was nice,no problems there. I took half...if I took the whole thing I can only imagine...But I never knew they dry you out like the desert though.. But now I do..And I just got the newest PDR on cd for my last one..(big thumbs up for me) Be Safe have fun
