There are no bad decision only consequences. What is right or wrong for you as an individual is determined by you alone. Sure morally we have obligation not to harm people or animals but why is it ok under certain circumstance and wrong other times? What about stealing or embezzlement, it's against the law to do these things, to take without regard to ownership is morally wrong but is it a sin? We are led to believe in the Bible based on religious rules and regulations, however beyond that sin is merely here say. Sin is self imposed religious policing of one's behavior for conformity and control. If humans have a soul, I doubt it will be judged and sentenced at some celestial courtroom setting.

Is there a heaven and hell? it is absurd to take the Bible literally, however, if there is an afterlife will souls be grouped together according to traits. behaviors and like minds while on earth? God is the warden of your mind, freedom is a prison coup d' e'tat.

But the consequences of some decisions can reap bad results. We do reap what we sow.

Even on earth like attracts like. I mean Googling is a great example. You put out a query of what you want and it goes out and looks for like words.

Many mansions! Yes I do believe.

i hope my version of heaven is similar to the ocean in Disney/Pixar movies - bright, colourful, mysterious, and full of cool turtles, fishies, beluga whales, and other neat creatures. Ones that talk, preferably.

The Biblical word for sin comes from the Greek word for "missing the mark." It's not about political control, it's about anything that takes you away from the truth of your divine nature, anything that creates a false sense of separation between you and the creator. When you do things that promote a lifestyle that "misses the mark," that are not in alignment with your divine nature, then the consequence is increased suffering. Nobody else is making you suffer but you, through the choices you make.

It's not even a Christian thing. Most societies all over the world have very similar core laws and morals, even if they are enforced differently. Don't kill, don't steal, support your community, don't be greedy, be grateful for what you have and don't covet what you don't have, be good and kind, etc.

All of these things arise from love, and that's all God really is... love. Over 100 years ago all of the songs people sang were about God, now most of the songs people sing are instead about love. Same thing really. If you are connected to your heart-centered nature then the "rules" against sin don't have to be practiced as a discipline, they will come second nature to you. People who live a spiritually pure life don't need to be told by any authority how to conduct themselves. They do it naturally because it flows effortlessly from love. They will always choose to be aligned with the creator because it is true home and contentment, and they will not choose things that compromise on that.

An alignment with love is what I am talking about. Not to be confused with religion that has its own agenda. Somehow religion became the prominent source for teaching how to live the way we are intended to live, as love.
Love is present not past tense. I don’t believe in the past as a form of ritualism that somehow is supposed to teach us how to love according to his life example. Faith is not love, it’s a strong belief in a concept of ideas that depict holiness and perfection.
It seems to me knowing and loving one’s role is the greatest understanding a person can have in life. It’s not about what you want it’s what you have that brings satisfaction.
My opinion, religion is a perverted expectation of what a person is meant to be. There will always be people who give advise but seldom know what is best for you.

Exactly.
And therefore we should always do what we consider is the right action under the given circumstances. Otherwise you might end not wanting to look at yourself in the mirror one day.
