Whatever happened to GHB?GBL

The Home Secretary is tightening restrictions around the drug GHB (gamma-hydroxybutyric acid) and related substances by moving them from Class C to Class B, following recommendations by the independent Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs (ACMD).

The Home Office will also bring forward legislation around two substances that can be converted to GHB on ingestion - gamma-butyrolactone (GBL) and 1,4-butanediol (1,4-BD). This will mean that those wishing to possess them for legitimate industrial purposes will require a licence.

The stricter measures come after GHB and related substances were found to have been used in horrific crimes, such as those committed by Reynard Sinaga, who was found guilty of 136 counts of rape in trials lasting until December 2019, and serial killer Stephen Port, both of whom used the substance to incapacitate their victims.

The reclassification will mean tougher penalties for those found in unlawful possession of the drugs and ensure victims are better protected from their use by criminals.

I will do everything in my power to protect people from harm, which is why I am tightening restrictions around these dangerous substances.

The Home Secretary asked the ACMD to expedite a review of controls on these drugs in January 2020 after becoming concerned about their use by criminals.

The government will seek to bring forward the necessary legislation when parliamentary time allows.

^^^Good going Sinaga. Drugged and raped at least 136 men (those were the victims who came forward) and looks like causing any GBL loopholes to be tightened further.

The liquid ecstasy references are due to GBLs absolutely amazing effects on music appreciation. Did it never get you that way? Speaking for myself, I would literally be in ecstasy just listening to music at home. Music sounded so incredibly lush and involving on GBL every time. And when combined with stims too I can't put into words how good that made music sound.

A great time was always had until the lust monster struck, and then things could very suddenly turn into something else entirely.

You are so wrong.

When reaching the sweet spot, it is the closest drug I've ever experienced to that ecstasy high. It is truly orgasmic.

And ghb unconsciousness isn't without its merits either, but that's another story.
 
I've actually never tried it, never come across it in my travels either. But I'm very interested in trying it at some point, I'm imagining it would be a great alternative for alcohol to me.

If I were to hunt it down, which I plan on eventually, I would start on the dnm. I just don't have the in person hookups to ever find something like that on the street.

It was a grey area, but that loophole is set to be closed; and it's not really fuck Priti Patel(but fuck her for other things), it's the nasty cunts that use G for nefarious reasons that have caused this; so fuck them!!

It'll make a comeback; I'm sure I could get some proper GHB if I put myself out a bit, but I can't be arsed.

It's a bit of a niche market; and it seems that since 2006/7 it's always being the same people that use it, and no young uns have really got in to it since, so all the users(I know) are middle aged men and women.
 
Well i honestly think someone in high places is still got a thing about gbl. I remember one of a MP's daughter died from it.

Its no different than alcohol imo with just a much steeper dose response curve

Like how many real rapisits would use gbl? It tastes like shit so its not exactly great for spiking drinks with. Needed like 5 parts orange juice 1 part gbl just to mask that horrid plastic taste .

Just think its an agenda . A bit like how the media is portraying these cases of people spiking people in the uk.

They mentioned spiking people with a needle now!?!?! what good is pricking someone with a needle (serious question) i thought u need to inject the person with some barbituate/ sleeper by IM/IV.. i dont know just sounds a bit farfetched to me
 
Im not sure if the taste would be enough of a warning because if its a strong dose even just taking some in your mouth and swallowing even a bit could still be enough to knock you over - if you do taste anything like that make your excuses and leave and get somewhere safe cos you probably will start flaking out soon.

You might have a point SHM - Ive had a little bottle for about ten years and last night I ate enough decarbed weed to stun a rhino and then 0.5ml. Certainly felt some kind of tremendous bodyhigh and enhanced music appreciation.

Fark me! Mind you I noticed the price spike through the roof when it got banned - even a few weeks before it got banned they were doubling the price.
 
It's worth £50 for 500ml easy. £500 is a bit crazy considering a dose lasts about an hour... Though that still wouldn't make it the most expensive drug out there still by a long shot.

I got ripped off trying to get some online a couple of months ago and I haven't tried since. I miss it. I may have to get on the dnm and get some GHB.
 
GBL was extremely cheap getting it directly from the suppliers, at round about 40 euros per 500 ml. They often did BOGOF offers too. And considering that 2-3 ml was all that was required for lift off for a very good time it's probably the best value for money substance ever in terms of enjoyment had IME. Maybe MDPV rivalled it for VFM considering how far a £20 deal of 250mg would go - it would last for many days but IME MDPV was always a grim and joyless experience where as GBL was always great fun.

More fun was always had listening to music and other activities on GBL, but inevitably the time for knocking one off would always come round. Quite amazing how exciting it could make a humble sherman tank seem.

I do miss it so much. I was always bound to miss anything that increased the enjoyment of two of my main pleasures so much.

I used to combine it with other stimulants which really made music come to life to the next level, and I also finally found a way to be able to enjoy those canababnanannanannoids without all the paranoia by combining them with GBL. My tendency towards experimenting with multiple varieties of poly drug use was almost certainly bad HR, but I would build up gradually. But I always wanted more. More of everything, more intensity. Not that music isn't great on GBL alone, but if you combine that with stimulants then OMG, and then add in some noidy swirly psychedelia for good measure too..

I guess it's no great surprise that things did start to off the rails for me at around this stage in my experimentations.

All things in moderation is what the wise people say. Very hard to do that with substances though if you have some kind of compulsion to always be wanting to take things to the next highest level.
 
quite like, couple years ago they put like cellulose in it, but I knew for a fact that with some little knowledge in basic chem. even....with bakin soda and coffiee filter there was bypasing like even makin NaGHb, but let's not go in speciff. haha
 
You have to find your sweet spot, takes a bit of trail and error (and waking up from overdoing it) a fair few times. But once you’ve hit the spot.. It’s amazing. Could easily replace alcohol for me, if it wasn’t for the taste of it. 🤢
 
If I mixed it with enough water I found the plasticky taste weirdly pleasant.

I did a loooooot of experimenting with GBL and I found the point that @LoginNotSecure are talking about to be only mildly euphoric, and I would feel poisoned and twitch like a bastard! Are you on about GHB? Maybe I was getting shite stuff. It did replace alcohol for me but I never found it as euphoric as all that!

I remember seeing some GHB crystal on the dnm. I may have to order some. I god ripped off recently on the clearnet. Fucker is still trying it on as well. I might look into ways I can get the cunt raided. He's overseas, has G, but just keeps refusing to send my order.
 
Definitely GBL, I have tried GHB but could never get the exact dose down and swigging it after mixing it in water I found to be wayyyy too hit and miss.

1.7-1.8ml of GBL was my sweet spot.
