kissing the clock at 11:11,
squinting my eyes at the first star i see that night,
passing on chain letters;
there's one thought that lingers in my mind much longer than i need it to-
the one that consumes me as
you.
after convincing myself,
through times tables and traffic lights,
that your body was less worthy than that of others'-
i have once again found myself
here.
a perfect circle, right
back where i started.
i cannot step into a smoke-filled room without
the scent of you engulfing me.
throwing away your camel cash
you tried to convince everyone you were quitting-
but you didn't fool
me.
no one makes inhaling deadly toxins into their body sexier than

once again,
trying to replace you only made it
more apparent that i wanted nothing less than
you-
wrapping your arms around me
and possibly begging for a kiss
or two.
