The debate is no longer what years produced the best music, but the difference in music between 60s, 70, & 90s
Like most of them. Floyd are an obvious win, as is Hawkwind & Alan Parsons tbh. Rest are just okay imo.
Yeah, I kinda agree with you on the anger of the 90s. I do feel it was a build up of frustration from decades of promised change that never came to be… so the 90s did exactly the same thing: promised real change, changed little :D
I disagree that the 70s were necessarily more experimental though. I’d strongly argue the 90s were. Particularly in the UK (where I hail from).
There was also an intense fondness for the 70s back then. I feel these eras are entwined…
Some 90s tunes:
30 years on and still absolutely killing it at Glastonbury this very weekend…
Also a Glasto performance from a few years ago, but a stone cold 90s classic all the same…
One of my all time faves performing one of my all time faves off of one of my all time faves…
Such a classic…
Cheesy song that comes with massive personal emotional baggage so I can’t help but love it…

And rounding off with another classic that simply begs to be played over a bass heavy car sound system…

All 3 of them?I admit the songs you chose are good and you have opened my eyes to 90s music. Thank you
