What your favourite herb???

I'd find it hard to choose between my favourite culinary and medicinal herbs. Aside from those, my favourite would have to be artemesia vulgaris aka mugwort. It's currently in flower where I live, so it’s very potent for dream making, particularly if it grows close to your bedroom window. The aroma will both relax you - making sleep easy - as well as stimulate intense dreaming. The freshly picked herb placed under your pillow will work it's magic for 3-4 nights before potency drops off. As with other herbs, fresh is always best.

St. Johns Wort. Its the only thing I can take to help balance me mentally that doesnt have side effects for me. It really helps.

Do you use it for depression? All I hear is bad things about this herb from the medical community but than again I really don't trust the doctors and the FDA:)

oh and I use Dong Quai to enchang
e my mood, it really works. Makes me relaxed but I bough it cause it said it would help do wonders for my hair but I'm not so sure about that

I'm a huge fan of herbs, mainly for relaxing teas and as smoking mixes.

At the moment I've begun using Milk Thistle for liver help (I drink a bit of alchohol and am on several prescription medicines).

I enjoy chammomile, skullcap (hoodwort), passionflower, mugwort, damiana and others in teas and smoking mixtures.

Currenlt I've been using coltsfoot in smokes as it is alledged to have lung cleansing properties, and is a cool and easily inhaled smoke.

I also use valerian and hops but in tablet form, for help with anxiety and nervous tension.

I grow Salvia Divonorum (I guess this is a herb) and while I'm not a huge fan of the pyschoactive effects, the plant is strangely attractive, with its insect-like square stem, and because I know what it contains, emmit\s a certain power.

I love acacia maidenii but thats a tree :)

Herbs are great, I can't wait to have my own house and grow a huge variety...

What bad things? I've used it for depression, and while I didn't feel it had much therapeutic value, I certainly didn't feel any particualr 'side effects'- well, I really felt no effects at all.
