Haha, Cruel Intentions goes down as one of my favourite movies. Totally lame school, I know.

I wanna be a girl - King Khan and the Shrines.

I think the operative word in this song is 'sometimes'

Nope. Totally cool school.

Outkast - Jazzy Belle
http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=_87vnBa_QWQ

Ridiculously smooth mid-90s southern rap (yes, Outkast existed back then!). Organized Noize are still one of my favourite production outfits, ranging from hard grim beats to instrumentals of a softer caliber.

I'm willin to go the extra kilo-meter
just to see my senorita get her pillow
on the side of my bed where no good ever stay
House and doctor was the games we used to play
but now it's real Jazzy Belle

New Edition - You're Not My Kind Of Girl
http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=JIK5vdGEGp8

I only really listen to three R&B albums:

D'Angelo - Brown Sugar
R Kelly - 12 Play
New Edition - N.E. Heartbreak

N.E. Heartbreak was the most influential commercial R&B album from its release in 1988 until the end of the 90s, and is also the album this track comes from. Worth watching the video for the production as well as the retarded white jump suits.

^ No, considering how I said the album was released in 1988.
Cheers for reading though.

I rate their sushi too.

Pantera - Walk

The one thing lacking in a lot of metal/hardcore from this decade?
Groove.
Pantera may have been a bunch of retarded rednecks, but head-nodding is inevitable.

Rank1 - L.E.D There Be light

Orgasmic!:D8o

Spiritualized - Any Way That You Want Me

I don't know whether to thank Miranda July or Michael Andrews for the inclusion of this song on the soundtrack of Me And You And Everyone We Know. Either way, this is a lovely song.

Bon Iver - Skinny Love

Just like the rest of the indie-folk world, I've got Bon Iver fever. God he's beautiful.

Come on skinny love just last the year
Pour a little salt we were never here
My, my, my, my, my, my, my, my
Staring at the sink of blood and crushed veneer

Bon Iver?

Listening to X - Sex and Dying in High Society

I've always really loved the trading off male and female counterpart vocal thing and X were back there kicking it in the early L.A. scene. Exene's voice is pretty damn distinct and I like it a lot. There was so much talent and originality in the early punk scene. Not that I don't like it, but it makes it a bit sad that most punk today is just thrashy power chords.

And the fact that John Doe and Exene met at a poetry class shines through in a lot of their lyrics.

That pretty man of yours
The one hiding inside the director's clothes
The one who calls you dear
after banging away at you in the night
That one's just got to go
Every time you look at him
You could almost fall asleep
